I'm honestly still reeling from the very brief encounter I had with Brent Ackerson. I have never experienced such pretention, condescension, degrading and overall rude behavior as I did when talking to Mr. Ackerson. Our conversation only lasted about 3 minutes, but it was all I needed to know that Mr. Ackerson is the definition of what people imagine when they think of pompous lawyers who think they are smarter than everyone else in the room. I grew up with a lawyer for a father, so I am well versed in lawyer behavior. This was among the worst I've experienced. Because of my more flexible schedule I have been calling lawyers on behalf of my fiance to try to find representation for her. How it has gone so far is that I make the call, explain the situation and we set up a meeting that can fit into her schedule. From the moment I received a call back from Mr. Ackerson I felt like I was being cross examined by an overly aggressive counselor fresh out of lawschool who thinks anger and needless aggression were an appropriate way to speak to someone. Keep in mind I have never spoken to Mr. Ackerson before in my life. This condescending and antagonistic behavior is not how cases are won. Especially when it is completely unwarranted and undeserved. The very first thing I was told by Mr. Ackerson was that I was just completely ignorant for calling lawyers on her behalf. I explained that schedules were the main reason I was making initial contact. As Mr. Ackerson's extremely aggressive questions continued every one of my answers was shot down as being ridiculous or wrong. None of my answers were correct. Often before I finished my sentences I was cut off with another question. I attempted to calm Mr. Ackerson with a friendlier tone, but none of it mattered. I finally said "I'm not sure why you're being so aggressive." To which Mr. Ackerson replied "It's been a rough day!" And I answered "Well I'm not sure what I have done to warrant this..." As I was cut off again Mr. Ackerson nearly yelled "I am not going to help you." And hung up on me. I sat there shocked. If you respect yourself as a human being you will do well to stay as far away from Brent Ackerson as possible. All it takes is a bad day in court for Mr. Ackerson to completely attack you with anger, aggression and legal jargon. Lawyers like Mr. Ackerson make themselves feel better by attacking with loud tone, condescension and rapid-fire questions. It makes them feel smarter to make you feel disoriented. I've seen lawyers take this approach before. It is rarely effective and honestly makes them look just how you would imagine someone like Mr. Ackerson looking in a courtroom. Judges are rarely impressed with this tactic. When Mr. Ackerson inevitably takes this approach with your case in a courtroom I wouldn't expect a judge to respond positively. I did absolutely nothing to deserve the disrespect I received from Mr. Ackerson. If he is comfortable treating a complete stranger who was looking for help like this I shudder to think how he treats other people in his life. If you value your dignity do yourself a favor and seek representation elsewhere. No one, I don't care how many law degrees they may have, has the right to talk to anyone the way Mr. Ackerson spoke to me. He would do the same to you. As the child of a lawyer I can promise you there are good ones out there. Brent Ackerson isn't one of them.

Great law firm!
A corrupt attorney and politician. Takes money from planned parenthood and then tries to do their bidding on the metro council.
