Dont waste your time on this place they barely have enough money to pay their office assistants let alone hire enough lawyers. They have ZERO family law lawyers. They will not take your case! Then after they cant take your case and send you out the door they call to harass you months after to beg me for my information cuz the grants that pays them was audited and they didnt get my info. They can get bent! They lie on their website and offer absolutely zero help in the way of dealing with your case! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU WITH YOUR FAMILY LAW CASE! THEY HAVE NO LAWYERS! THEIR WEBSITE LIES! ALL YOU ARE ARE A NUMBER ON THEIR GRANT SO THEY CAN GET PAID TO NOT HELP YOU!

Great receptionist

I'm in an assisted living center. went from self pay to an ALI waiver. They are trying to evict me. Hearing is this coming Wednesday. Attorney wanted me to settle and agree to be out in 15 days. Not possible on several levels. 4:32 PM tonight get an email saying she is no longer my attorney. So I am facing court alone. These are tge people LTC omsbudsman, and disability law refer you to. If I could rate no stars I would.

What a joke! No help, whatsoever! Save your time!

Why does this place even exist I have the type of problem these types of agencies exist to handle, yet they can't help, or won't help, and can't even say why? Why exist? I've literally done everything right, and legal, yet someone breaking multiple laws can do what ever? This state really hates its citizens... does anybody in this state actually wanna help the innocent people who need it most? Oh wait, this is america? what was i expecting..... what a joke.....

I don’t recommend using them. From the moment I got on the phone consultation I could tell this person wasn’t going to be any help and I’d better off representing myself. Sounded very unsure of themself and had no answers. The phone call was a complete waste of time. Everything I told the person who set up the consultation I had to repeat for the actual consultation with no sort of advice to follow… I wouldn’t have felt confident using them. The letter I received was signed by a Fang He. I spoke with a women on the phone not sure if it’s the same person.

Imagine discovering your eviction 2hours after you were supposed to have a hearing. No warning. No recourse. No justice. Just forced out of my home due to incompetance. They refused? Neglected? To call me back for 2.5months, until literally the day of my eviction. And then tried to blame me to absolve them of their own failure to even try to protect me. Honestly an abysmal experience. A preventable tragedy. They didnt even try.

Front desk and staffs were very friendly however, Heather was assigned to my case kept delaying it further down to last minute and waited three days before my court date, not to mentioned it was a Friday and didn’t informed me that she isn’t going to represent me court against all allegations and accusations. She was quite rude and disrespectful. When I handed her all of my documents, she pretended to scan them and ended up ripping off one of my documents on purpose without letting me know. If only my Fiance was there at that time, he would’ve done something about her actions. I am a kind, quiet, respectful and observant person who doesn’t speak my mind unless it’s necessary and to have someone did this to me was unnecessarily disgusting. I was lucky enough to have found another attorney who was willingly to take my case over night and helped and walked me through it all. A month after court hearing, I received a late letter from her through the mail saying she could no longer help me further. She is such a procrastination and a joke to the legal system. If I knew she was like that towards her clients, I wouldn’t have wasted two months with her and have already fought my case and won. Do not go to them, her in particular. You’re better off spending additional pocket money and hired your own attorney who’s willing to seek justice and fight for your rights!

Alaska Legal Services has helped me a great deal. Unlike SOME agencies out there who've done nothing to help me, and only give me happy-talk and empty platitudes... *cough* Identity, Inc. *cough*

Im very thankful to the people who helped me out all through my battle especially to Atty Heather Toole. She was always there for me and helped me out with my case. I highly recommend ALS for those women who badly need legal help from DV

I have a recorded statement from Alaska Legal Services denying me from their services when it is within their duties to help with childsupport and child custody cases. She didn't even read my application before telling me that they are not going to help me. This is address 1016 W 6th Ave Anchorage Alaska. Make sure you investigate exactly what they are and are not doing. I submitted an application and I expect to get a response in the mail. This is after not getting any assistance over the phone for months to deter people from coming in. They say over the phone that they aren't accepting applications in person. Funny how I didn't hear anything about that when I dropped my application off today. I think that the lady is racist or discriminatory.

These people are a joke. They say "They are on your side". At the same time, they agree with the opposition.
