Ms. Hicks and Cassandra have been very helpful with my case. It’s unfortunately dragged on, due to the other party, but they have been great about answering all of my questions and being helpful in all situations.

Extremely bad experience with this lawyer. I would not hire her ever again. They had extremely poor communication which led to frustration from us because we had no idea what was completed or expected out of us when we did finally show up to a hearing. My wife and I hired her for a simple adoption case where the other parent would voluntarily give up their rights. We got the paperwork back to her within a month of hiring her. 6 months went by and our case barely moved. We would call or email once a month to see how our case was progressing and the only answer we got was, “I will check with Ms Hicks, let you know,” or “I have a meeting with Ms. Hicks about this today and will get back to you.” That communication never happened everytime we reached out.. Every type of communication was initiated from our side. It was two weeks after the fact the case was filed with the court that we found out it was filed, and that was once again because we asked again for an update. It felt that we were not a priority and that she had other clients that took precedence over our little case and could not find time in her schedule to somehow fit us in for 6 months. I would understand a month or two, but 6 is ridiculous. We didn’t even know that the study for the adoption was 120 days, that we had to pay for it, or that it could be waived entirely because the child lived with the both of us for 10 years. We found this out after the fact when we hired another lawyer and had the entire process wrapped up in a week. And just for clarity sake because I know this is their favorite line, I WAS a client of theirs. We have the receipts for all of this. I do not recommend this lawyer to anyone, for anything.

The worst attorney ever. Takes people’s money and doesn’t do anything for their cases. Don’t waste your money!!! This attorney needs to be reported immediately and stop practicing law. She is a sorry excuse for an attorney.

Ms. Hicks is an amazing attorney. She is supportive, understanding and helps through every step of the process. She communicates well and has never let me down. She quickly deals with issues as they come and she truly cares about her clients. I have found her to be supportive throughout the process, especially because it is an emotional one. She will tell you exactly how it is, but she is also kind and gives solutions/advice to problems that may arise. I highly recommend her if you are going through a divorce as she will fight for you and keep your best interests in mind.
