Have called several times needing a referral, and have always been told to contact VLP, Indiana Legal Service, or Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic. VLP refuses to make a referral because they helped my ex wife, ILS, refuses to help me because I am a white male (they have told me as much and the call was recorded), and NCLC does not deal with the types of case that I am dealing with.

I called and left a message and got an immediate call back! I was promptly referred to a lawyer for a consultation which occurred within 2 days, and I was successful in retaining that lawyer! The rep I spoke with at the Bar was very helpful and cordial. The information she gave me regarding possible retainer fees was accurate, which I appreciated. Great service! Thanks!

Whether it’s through it’s FREE legal line staffed by capable and experienced attorneys or it’s lawyer referral service, the service the ACBA provides is unquantifiable. They are passionate about helping people in the local community and providing exceptional services for their attorney members.

I called their free legal advice phone line, which is available on Tuesday from 5-7, and after a couple of tries, an attorney answered, listened to my reasons for calling, and walked me through all the options available to me. I am very grateful for that service and their help.

Helped me find my Lawyer for a very odd case

Not very helpful and wanted a $40 referral fee to a lawyer they weren't even sure could work with us. Highly recommend doing own research so you don't get screwed like we almost did
