Amanda Heims and her associates are amazing. She's tough, and her games on point. She was such a relief to hear her shoot it straight, no sugar coating so I knew where I stood. Amanda is so knowledgeable and works with all counties in Iowa so she knows what's going on. If you need a lawyer that stays true to the case at hand and can find that needle in the haystack every time. I will forever speak of her and recomended her over the years to many people. I trust her and her associates. They're truly amazing and caring but don't underestimate them or mistake their kindness for weakness. It's everything you need of an attorney. She's definitely worth every penny!

I had Amanda on my case during a situation of multiple DHS WORKERS FIRED IN CLARINDA. I lived out of state fighting for my sister and I’m now soon graduating with my criminal justice bachelors degree and working on my lsat to become a lawyer. I’m going to correct a lot of things that should not have happened in my case and I paid her a lot of money and I feel I shouldn’t have never lost the case and family is first not strangers. I WILL FIGHT FOR THE WRONGFUL DISCRIMINATION OF IOWA IN MY CASE I WAS FIGHTING FOR!

She was awful DO NOT HIRE. I paid $700 upfront to handle my criminal case.. Amanda constantly had an attitude she did not advocate for my best interest she pushed me to sign a plea to "be done " and ignored vital evidence in my case. The officer who arrested me engaged in misconduct which got my case dismissed but Amanda pressured me to plead guilty anyway knowing there was an ongoing ethics investigation into the officer. Any attorney should know that the misconduct finding would have been crucial to the case but I believe Amanda cared more about her money than about doing the best job she could for my case. She wanted to be done asap even if it meant I will be pleading to charges that I didn't need to.. I asked for a refund and she refused, saying she had earned her fee. Bottom line is that if I took her advice I would have been convicted of multiple criminal charges.

The first time I met Amanda she was beyond rude. Had to be asked several times to fix her attitude as it was unnecessary. She refuses to listen and will talk right over you. In my case, she had NO clue what she was even going on, yet, rude was her response. I was supposed to have a case closed entirely, upon her word and obviously the correctly filed paperwork. This LAWYER told me my case was closed, I would never have to deal with any of it again, only to receive a letter that it was NEVER closed. You will consistently play phone tag. She doesn't arrive with any sort of time to discuss what she's supposed to be a lawyer for. She comes with a bad attitude and a very condescending tone. Even though she's incorrect. Never once apologized for her behavior, lack of information or lack of education of the case. I will also add, HER office sent me paperwork claiming my case was closed. CSR sent me a letter saying absolutely different. She's another who brings the term "public pretender" to the epitome of it's definition. Just appalling
