First, this reviewer has never been a client, so this is not an actual review of our services. Second, I Represented his dad Robert (not his real name). I had recommended robert use a trust for his estate planning. Robert insisted he wanted a will, so to accommodate him, I did draft a will. The reference to the upselling was because I recommended a trust to avoid probate which the will would need to go through. So even though tries to portray the trust as an upset, the reviewer admits that he was coming back to me for a trust which is what I recommended in the first place. Since this reviewer has never been a client, I wanted to check Robert's power of attorney to determine that this reviewer had authority to create a trust for Robert. It only took a moment to determine that as I pulled it up online. Also the power of attorney required 2 doctor notes to state Robert was mentally incompetent to activate the power of attorney. I asked the reviewer if he had the doctor notes and that I needed a copy for my file so show that the reviewer had authority to create the trust. It was at this point that the reviewer seemed to think that I was offending him by asking for the 2 doctors notes. My ongoing duty was to Robert to make sure his wishes were carried out. I was doing just that. If you are going to write a review, make sure you know what you are talking about and actually be accurate and honest in the review. This review is not in the least bit accurate or honest and he was actually coming back to have a trust drafted that I had recommended in the first place.

This is a fake review. This is a Cancel Culture type review. I asked to get paid for the hours of work I put in and so since this client doesn't want to pay she wrote a fake review in an effort to hurt me. I know that she doesnt go to work for free and not expect a paycheck at the end of the week. The truth is that the divorce case was completed over with 7 months ago from the time of this persons writing. We talked about what a Judge might do at trial. I was prepared to go to trial. She chose not to go to trial. She wanted to reach an agreement and get on with her life. I was not agreeing with opposing counsel. I was prepared to go to trial. I negotiated a good deal based upon what a Judge would have done after trial. She agreed with the terms of the settlement 7 months ago otherwise she wouldnt have signed the agreement. I wouldnt have let her sign the agreement if it was not fair and if she didnt want to sign it. The Judge wouldnt have approved the agreement if it wasnt a fair agreement.<br> She didnt have a problem with it then. I got her an advance on her settlement. She didnt have a problem with it then. She didnt have a problem with me at all during the divorce or the 7 months after the divorce. She was past due on her payments to me. I had sent her emails each month to the email address she provided me for 7 months. She ignored them. I did send her account for collections for payment on the balance due. Now all of a sudden after I got her a good deal and I asked to be paid after waiting 7 months, now she creates a fake review.

This client was charged with a DWI when driving home from Hampton Beach. I was prepared to go to trial. However, right before trial she told me that what she had told the police at the scene and was written in the police report was not true. She had lied to the officer at the scene and to me. Then she told me the real story (minutes before the trial was to start) and what had happened and that she was drinking in the Hampton bars for several hours before driving home. She told me that she would take the stand and lie to the Judge as well and tell the story in the police report which was not true.<br><br>I told her that if we were to go to trial and if she were going to take the stand, then she would need to tell the truth. The truth being that, if asked, she was there all day and that she had been drinking.<br>I am an officer of the court which I take seriously. I cannot allow a client to lie to the Judge on the stand.<br>If she were to lie on the stand, I would either be forced to withdraw mid trial which would be a signal to the Judge that she was lying.<br>This action would have been devastating to her case. Plus she could have been charged with perjury.<br><br>It was at that point she seriously thought about taking a plea.<br>I was able to negotiate a plea to Negligent Operation which included a fine and no license suspension in NH. Also, that if the information was to be transmitted to MA, then they could impose their own penalties.<br>She wanted to take a chance that the information was not going to be exchanged with MA and complete the plea rather than have a trial.<br><br>I did not talk her into anything, I did not lie to her, I kept her informed all along.<br><br>The real story is that she lied to the police and initially lied to me. She told me she was going to lie to the Judge. And now she is lying on Google and to the public.<br><br>I did my job and did it well. In fact, when she signed the Acknowledgement and Waiver of Rights form, she stated that she was satisfied with me and all of my explanations have been clear.<br>I answered all her questions.<br><br>This plea was not for my advantage. It was solely for her advantage to prevent her from hurting her case by lying on the stand.<br><br>Her actions and statements have consequences.<br>She needs to take responsibility for her actions.
