On the morning of November 17, 2020 during the height of COVID, I reached out to the Anthony Pope Law Firm to schedule an appointment to discuss my accident case. Later that day I was sitting across from Anthony to discuss my case. What was most impressive was his quick response after spending 7-10 days calling numerous law offices and getting nowhere. He settled my case on May 5, 2021. The settlement was far more than I ever expected. From the time I first met Anthony, until my case was settled, he kept me informed during the entire process. Anthony and his staff were very professional. On June 28, 2023 I reached out to Anthony Pope to represent me in another accident case in which I had a slip and fall down a flight of stairs on April 4, 2023. After my surgery in August of 2023, Anthony settled my case on March 12, 2024. Once again Anthony and his staff always kept me informed during the entire process. I hope that I don't need his services again but if YOU need a lawyer your first call should be to the Anthony Pope Law Firm.

I went to Anthony for help with my husband’s case. I knew by looking at him, he was the man for the job. And he did not disappoint! He showed up to meet my husband one hour after I spoke with him and during Covid no less! He worked with me on his fee because he understood I was in a bad spot. He has walked us through everything and kept us up on all info immediately. Even after everything was all said and done, he still keeps up with us, unlike other lawyers. Anthony is extremely professional and diligent. He dots every I and crosses every T. It was amazing watching him argue in court…he’s a shark!!! He doesn’t back down like so many lawyers. If I could leave a zero star I would.The fact that I was handed off to an intern named Joseph Alter, who had no communication skills and seemed to lack intelligence, is simply unacceptable. It is clear that he did not take the time to understand my concerns or explain the legal process to me. Instead, he pressured me into taking a guilty plea, despite my wishes to avoid having a DUI on your record. I didn't take the DUI plea in case you are wondering, why hire these jokesters? I ask myself the same question Moreover, it is shocking that even after four months, I have not received a call back from Alter, despite leaving multiple messages. This level of disregard for a client's concerns is appalling and shows a complete lack of professionalism on the part of Anthony Pope Law firm. In conclusion, I would not recommend Anthony Pope Law firm in Newark, NJ to anyone. Based on my experience, it is clear that they do not provide the level of service and professionalism that one would expect from a law firm. I would advise anyone seeking legal representation for a DUI case to look elsewhere, as you would be better off representing yourself in court than hiring these incompetent and unresponsive lawyers.

I was the FBI’s most wanted fugitive for 5 years and after I finally surrendered and made it back from Dubai I was stuck in jail facing 20 years in federal prison. As I interviewed countless lawyers and was beginning to get annoyed at the incompetence or insincerity of most lawyers someone referred Anthony Pope to me. One hour after Anthony met my wife in his office he high tailed it over to the jail and met me during the height of COVID. Five minutes into our meeting i hired Anthony due to his intent focus and drive to fight for my freedom. Once Anthony came onboard I was granted bail, the govt agreed to drop most charges except one which i was more than agreement with. After two years of Anthony and his amazing staff working tirelessly and handling all my hundreds of emails and phone calls my case was finally resolved yesterday. My family and I are grateful for all the hard work and effort Anthony and his team put forth so we can get our lives back. An 8 year nightmare where I was facing 20 years in prison ended with what I perceived to be a fair and equitable sentence. I know this has been a long review, but as I’ve joked with Anthony for almost three years I have HOPE IN POPE! If you find yourself in need of an attorney I highly recommend hiring Anthony!
