Update: I have finally received a payment from Shazad Omar, after waiting almost two years after arbitration and having to get the State Bar involved for him not paying me. So yet again, I just want to put the word out there that this guy will not help you. Read the story below for more details... Shazad Omar was one of the worst people to work with and should not be working as a lawyer. Shazad Omar cheats on his billing so that he can overcharge and keep the retainer fee. One of his ways that he will cheat you is that he says he works with a paralegal to help cut cost, but he will charge his rate for the work that the paralegal did and he will lie to say that he wrote it when for a fact the paralegal wrote it. keep in mind that his paralegal rate is $100 an hour difference then his rate. I would like to say one more fact about Shazad Omar he tried to say that it took him three and a half hours to read text messages that added up to 7500 words. let's do our math 210 minutes to read 7500 words would be about 36 words per minute that is equivalent to a first grader reading level. Do you really want a lawyer that can't read at a professional level? I had to take Mr. Omar to arbitration and the arbitrator found in my favor that I should have not been charged as much as Mr. Omar said, So he owes me money and I'm still waiting for him to pay. I'm a person that does not like to write reviews but when there are people in the world like Shazad Omar I need to get the word out that he will waste your time, he will cause more headaches and he will NOT get the job done professionally. I would not recommend or use Shazad Omar again!

I hired apex lawyers to help me with a custody battle. I would not have been able to get what I got without them. They submitted my partner’s paperwork with the wrong case number even though I wrote the proper case number on the forms we provided to them. My partner was ordered to pay an excessive amount in child support because of this. Ms. Ria told my partner that they would need to charge another retainer fee to fix the problem they caused. Completely unethical.
