I own a well known Civil Process Service business in Johnson City Tennessee, and in November 2024 we were sent an e-mail from Mary Blackwell, for a civil summons to be served on a federal case for Apperson Crump. My assistant Emilee got it”personally served” quickly and turned back in with an invoice requesting payment of only $75! The sad part about this is that I have called & e-mailed Ms Blackwell over and over for months. I have called their office requesting accounts payable to discuss payments, leaving multiple messages, again with NO Response! This is absolutely ridiculous!!! It is April 2025 and NO Response! For a major Lawfirm in the middle of Memphis Tennessee, I would NOT recommend these people! If these people can’t simply pay a small business like ours for work completed, then I would be severely concerned if they would represent a client in a dignified way! Not paying a bill that is owed is great failure of good character

Receptionist is rude over the phone and in person. Matthew (Matt) doesn’t return calls.

Hard working, knowledgeable and so kind. I had an extremely urgent need for an incredibly difficult title issue recently, and the girls here jumped in and achieved the impossible. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Ashley, Laura and Matthew did an extremely impressive job with our first closing with them! They worked so much harder than your average title company would to get a transaction done. We were super impressed with their willingness to help, experience, customer service, and performance! If you need a great firm to work with, look no further this is your team!

Apperson Crump and the team there are top notch. Although we did not get to the closing, I have never had such friendly and responsive service provided in a real estate transaction. Of particular note is Michele Levy who was my go-to representative. Her timely replies and outreach during the process made it simple. She does not assume that you know the legalities of what is needed and the why - but is forthright in what the ask is, and the purpose. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them but especially ask for Michele for the best experience.

Avoid! Wow! This place seems to try to avoid business & stop closings! They cost me lots of time, money & stress!! Run!! 🤦

I have closed a number of files with Ashley Velarde and Laura Bobbitt at Apperson. They have been nothing short of amazing. One situation that comes to mind is a file that required extensive title work with 8 living heirs some in different states. This file was with another title company for over a year and they failed to clear the file and get it closed. We moved it to apperson they were able to get it closed within 30 days. Laura was always sure to proactively reach out and and communicate every step of the way taking so much stress off my team as well as the seller. They are one of the best teams I've worked with always delivering super prompt responses and displaying positive attitudes no matter how difficult the file or situation. Thanks Laura and Ashley!

Morgan was awesome. They didn’t have internet all week but she worked through it and made my sons closing happen as scheduled. Definitely would use them again.

I've closed with 5 or 6 title companies over the years and without a down Apperson Crump is the worse. They literally spent 4 hours trying to talk my seller into backing out of the deal. They totally screwed up my closing documents but because of their unprofessionalism I closed and fixed deeds myself using quutclaim deeds. If you want a title company that won't answer the phone, take forever to close, and intentionally try to kill your deals; this is the company for you.

Apperson Crump did our closing for a new home we purchased and they were fantastic. Morgan went above and beyond to meet us when they needed additional signatures after closing date. Would highly recommend them if you need a closing attorney! -Michelle and Darrin Hope
