Todd should be turned into the state for unethical mediation and not investigating what facts that were provided by the other party. I unfortunately learned the hard way by never having the representation of an attorney and trusted Todd and the other party during my mediation and it cost me millions. He added things to the decree that weren’t discussed, was in a big rush, pushed and showed favoritism toward the other party. I just want to share my experience and hopefully warn others from using him. There are many other very good and ethical divorce attorneys and mediators in the Kansas City area but Todd is not one of them!
Unfortunately, I can't say whether or not he is a great attorney or not. What I can say is that he does not communicate well. My family was referred to Mr. Arney, for a civil matter by a well respected attorney, that had help our family with another issue. We tried to be understanding regarding Mr. Arney's lack of returning a call because of unforeseen matters that had occurred in November and December. We waited about three months for everything to hopefully settle down for Mr. Arney before contacting him again. In late February/ early March we started to reach out and We got an email back asking us when we would like to meet. We tried to be as flexible as possible, telling him that we would work with his schedule. And that we are free to meet for whatever works for him. He never responded back. I have sent emails, no response, and after a couple of follow up calls by my mom, he has not called back. I'm not sure why he is not calling back, but I worry that if this his demeanor with a potential client, I would be dishearten to see what he is like with a current client.
