I hired Attorney Ashe for a DWI case in Bar Harbor maine while working for the summer. I was charged with a DWI & wreckless driving even though I was a .05 BAH and did not wreck but merely did not use a turn signal and I was speeding according to the Bar Harbor police, even though they never clcoked my speed. Attorney Ashe got a plea bargain to have the dWI dropped and after 1 year the wreckless driving would be dropped in favor of a simple ticket for imprudent speed. To make matters worse, I was charged for another DWI in Holden,ME shortly after. I once again was under the legal limit and I was pulled over for having a tag light out. My BAH was tested and it came out to 0.07 but I was once again charged with a DWI. I quickly called Attorney Ashe and explained my situation. Attorney Ashe was very empathetic and said I was more likely to.be struck by lightning than to be charged for.two under the limit DWI's. Attorney Ashe told me he would only charge me if the case was not dismissed and that he would.only charge half his fee if the case was tried. Attorney Ashe and his team quickly drew up a letter of representation to be sent to the DA's office and shortly after the case was quickly dismissed. Attorney Ashe is known around the courts as an aggressive defense attorney and is know to not negotiate deals for his clients if he feels they have a real shot at winning at trial. To call Attorney Ashe a pit bull is understatement, but calling him the best defense attorney in Maine would be the best title for him and his team. 15/10 stars for Attorney Ashe and his team. Attorney Ashe and his team saved me not once but twice from a lot of legal trouble that the Maine legal system wanted to throw the book at me for. I didn't know Attorney Ashe wanted to be an Attorney since he was a child or that he was voted one of the best trial lawyers in the U.S before I hired him, but I did after doing some research and reading his legal bio online.
