I hired this attorney during an extremely difficult time for my family after my daughter became disabled while in state custody. Our experience was not what we expected. Communication often felt limited, and decisions were made that we did not fully understand at the time. As parents, we felt unheard and increasingly disconnected from important parts of the process involving our daughter’s future. I want to be clear that my concerns have always been about my daughter’s well-being, quality of life, and maintaining meaningful family involvement — not about finances or personal conflict. Every family’s situation is different, but I believe it is important for parents to feel informed, respected, and included when long-term guardianship decisions are being discussed. I am sharing this feedback so that other families ask detailed questions and make sure they fully understand how communication, decision-making, and guardianship outcomes may affect them long term.
Jennifer, it is unfortunate that you continue to spread lies and blame others for your own failings as a parent. You sought to hire me when your daughter had already been placed into State custody, at a juvenile correctional facility. She was placed there because of your parental failings, not mine. You couldn't find anyone to take her case because inmate cases are notoriously unsuccessful and attorneys are typically not interested in taking those cases on a contingent fee basis. I agreed to do so anyway. While I was working on the case, and your daughter had been moved to a brain injury rehab center, the doctors, nurses, and administrators sought court intervention to have a guardian put in place because of grave concerns they had about your fitness as a parent. I had nothing to do with that. Those actions were taken by those professionals again because of your own conduct, not mine. I worked on the case for two years before finally obtaining the largest civil rights settlement ever paid by the State of Wisconsin, for the benefit of your daughter. I was the only person on the planet fighting for her. I alone was responsible for getting this life changing result for her that allows her to afford the best care and best services obtainable. There was not a significant need to communicate with you during the case because you did not have knowledge of either the facts or the law, you were not the client, and you were not her legal guardian throughout most of the case. When I did make efforts to contact you, it was often difficult to reach you because either you or your husband were frequently incarcerated during the pendency of the case. After the case was over I spent many, many hours trying to find a replacement guardian for your daughter because I was concerned that the court-appointed guardian was not fulfilling her duties. You shared a desire to have the guardian replaced. I finally found an excellent alternative but you then changed your opinion and instead sought to have yourself appointed. I did not file anything in opposition to your request but I did support the appointment of the replacement guardian. The reason judges won't give you guardianship is because of your own poor choices, legal troubles, and history of parental failings. I have had nothing to do with those issues nor have I had anything to do with the court decisions. You were lucky enough to have a daughter who got a second chance at life, and unfortunately, you are doing more to hinder her than help her. Making false accusations about me won't help. The only chance you have to make things better for yourself will be to look in the mirror, take responsibility for your poor choices and parental failings, and become a better person and parent. That sort of action will necessarily require you to stop blaming others. I have done more to help your daughter than you have ever done, or will ever do. The only explanation for your false accusations about me is that you are unhappy you do not have access to her money. Your conduct proves exactly why that protection is necessary. I hope you can become a better person and parent and start taking responsibility for yourself. Your daughter deserves better than what you are giving her. You should be grateful for what I did for her. The fact that you are not grateful, and instead falsely attack me, shows what kind of person and parent you really are. You are falsely stating now that your daughter is back in State custody. She is not. She has a very diligent and caring guardian who has her best interests at heart and you ought to be grateful for that. Instead, you are determined to blame everyone else around you and make the guardian's job more difficult and publicly slam me. False posts like the one you wrote here and on FB only serve to show the courts how unstable and untruthful you are when you put in your next application for guardianship. You aren't helping yourself or your daughter. You are embarrassing yourself.
I was the victim of a facial dog bite last year at a new years party, and was referred to Atterbury, Kammer & Haag, S.C. to help deal with the legal following. It was my first time dealing with a legal situation this large, and I'm really happy I was referred to this team. I primarily worked with Eric Haag (Lawyer) and Alison Reinhard (Paralegal) and they made the process of getting a settlement from the insurance company feel simple instead of stressful. They communicated with me often and got a settlement much more quickly than I expected (for reference it took a year, but I'm sure the insurance company made attempts to drag this on for years). I'm forever grateful to Eric and Alison for helping me put this incident in the rear view mirror as quickly as possible. I highly recommend their services.
Thank you for the kind words Jacob. We're delighted that you are happy with our services. It was a pleasure representing you and we thank you for trusting us with your important case.
👍
Eric and his team did a great job helping me in my injury case, worked hard to achieve the best possible results. Thank you Eric for everything. I truthfully recommend him for other people that need help.
Thank you, Andrei. It was an honor to represent you in such a complex case with catastrophic injuries. I’m glad that I was able to obtain a meaningful result for you. Keep fighting the good fight my friend.
Highly recommend this law firm. Eric and worked diligently negotiating with insurance companies and other lawyers. Alison was also a great help with phone calls and emails. Both were quick to respond to any concerns or questions.
Thank you Craig. We certainly appreciate your kind words. It was a pleasure working on your case and seeking justice for your injuries.
What Eric has done for me, been for me the last five years, has been a blessing and beyond remarkable! Both Eric and his valuable paralegal, Ali, were unwaivering in their steadfast diligence to me personally, and professionally to my case. Their constant and sincere kindhearted empathy was truly beyond measure. Eric, was immediate to answer my questions, guide me, and console me. He fought hard for me. I will forever hold Eric in the highest regard and esteem, personnally and professionally. The "Eric and Ali" team are beyond top-notch, and I HIGHLY recommend Eric, Ali, and the entire Atterbury, Kammer & Haag firm should you need a personal injury attorney. Respected. Honorable. Dedicated.
Kathy, thank you so much for your wonderful, heartfelt review. It was truly a pleasure having the opportunity to represent you and get to know you.
Alex and Jessica helped me immensely. Their communication was amazing by updating me throughout the whole process, explaining anything I didn't understand and letting me know what all of my options were going forward. They are caring, kind and genuine people who I was lucky enough to have recommended to me. I'm so grateful & would highly recommend them to anyone!
I have nothing but excellent things to say about Eric Haag and this law firm as a whole. I was in a car accident in July of 2021, so I decided to take on Atterbury, Kammer & Haag to be my representation. It was a very hard time for me, and I had many questions about the process. Mr. Haag always responded quickly with an explanation to anything I threw his way. This made my journey so much more secure. To anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, responsive injury law firm, I strongly recommend Atterbury, Kammer & Haag, S.C.
Thank you for the great review Peyton. We're so glad you were happy with our work and we truly appreciate your kind words.
Eric Haag and Alyson Reinhard were amazing to work with, even with the whole Covid thing going on. So, we didn’t meet in person very often but, they were always there to answer any of my questions and even some that had nothing to do with the accident. My husbands accident was a harrowing experience and they did their best to give me time estimates on when the next steps would happen. The settlement was relatively quick following my husbands final release from his physicians, just a few delays from the at fault drivers insurance company and we actually settled for around $100 k more than what we thought was a fair settlement. I would highly recommend Eric and Alyson at Atterbury, Kammer and Haag!
Eric and his team are the best lawyers we have ever encountered. They are professional, responsive and effective. I highly recommend Eric!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for exceptional representation with regard to my case. The team was professional, knowledgeable, hardworking and persevering. Great experience overall having Eric Haag as our attorney. Eric understands his client, very insightful and is an expert in his field. Truly a professional and awesome individual who goes above/beyond for his client. Jessica (Paralegal) kept me informed in a timely manner and was a pleasure to work with. The team at Atterbury, Kammer & Haag Law firm, executed my settlement expeditiously and fairly. I will highly recommend your services to anyone in need of a great attorney!
Answered whether I had a case or not.
Alison and Eric have helped me tremendously with my case! I never had to meet with them in person and they were always on top of it. 10/10 recommend working with them!
I have been working with Alex for a few months now, I can confirm that he honestly cares about his clients. He is professional, respectful, and reliable. Alex has been incredibly helpful since the day I reached out to him and I’m beyond thankful for all of his support throughout my unusual and unfortunate case! My experience with Alex has exceeded my expectations, and I’m pleased with the outcome. Thank you for all the hard work, Alex!
After a couple of frustrating years trying to reach a settlement with my insurance company a friend recommended Alex Kammer of Atterbury, Kammer & Haag, S.C. Alex and his staff did a great job representing me and got the results I could not on my own. I ended up with triple the settlement than I was offered on my own. In the end I was very happy with the results and no headaches.
Alex Kammer represented me in a personal injury case against a local retailer. Alex met with me quickly after I contacted his office. It was the first of several meetings we had. All through the time Alex represented me, he took great care and patience in explaining legal matters to me while being mindful and respectful of my questions and concerns. I never hesitated to contact Alex anytime during the case with questions or concerns. I was very happy with the settlement received and would recommend him and the firm to anyone needing legal help.
Eric was an amazing professional. He was compassionate and efficient and gave us the best possible outcome.
