Mr. Bovill was hired by myself and my father to represent a family member in a rough situation. At times I found Mr. Bovill very blunt and matter of fact. We all needed to hear the things he said. He represented our family member with style. He was always prepared and knew just what to do for our situation. We achieved the best possible outcome. 10/10 recommend.

John is a very blunt to the point lawyer. In some cases that might be hard for some, but he works well within Saginaw County. Very professional but assertive, which is what a lawyer should be. There were no blurred lines or grey areas with the contract I signed with him, he is easily contactable when he was needed, showed up to every hearing and is affordable. He represented me in my case and got everything dismissed, again he is very blunt, but he means business! His office staff are wonderful, the lady in the office is very kind. His paralegal is very personable and knowledgeable. I was not disappointed, but hope to never have to have a lawyer again; but maybe this review will be helpful to someone else.

I wish I would have read more of his reviews from other clients so I blame myself for that. I hired him for my son on a child custody case and he was useless. He promised the world but did nothing. He had me write everything out for him and then used none of it and didn't even show up for the mediation! Very rude and condescending. Read ALL the reviews from other people because they are true. Definitely look elsewhere for a lawyer

I called to inquire about my kids father being absent for three years and potentially trying to have all rights over to me. He was rude on the phone and said he was in the middle of something and said that when you “call and just start asking questions” apparently is why he was rude. Unfortunately I thought You're job was to assist people in situations like this and instead I was belittled for having a child out of wedlock and not knowing if he’s paid any child support over the past 3 years at all right at that moment. Would definitely recommend someone else when the first 5 minutes he did a poor job.
