The best attorney that you can get! Attorney Shivick was recommended to me from a person that’s close. I was facing eviction & further landlord issues that I was being overwhelmed with. With Attorney Shivick’s help, guidance, commitment and communication we were finally able to put aside the matter after almost a year dealing with the case. After being deceptively sold a vehicle from an Auburn, MA dealership, I realized I needed a Attorney to assist me in a Lemon Law case. I researched attorneys in the greater Worcester area, and found Attorney Shivick. So glad I did! After over 2 years of fighting to get my case to court, I was able to receive a settlement. Attorney Shivick was informative for a young and first time client that knows next to nothing about the legal system. Completely saved me with a motor vehicle purchase issue where the (very large) car dealership sold me a car that wasn’t able to be sold due to a recall but they also wouldn’t refund me or speak to me- got all of my money back plus legal fees! Would highly recommend. The result was great, but he was also very responsive with great communication. Really saved me here!!! Probably would have dragged on a lot longer with a different attorney.

I have had one of my close friends whom invested in real estate and rents out several properties have troublesome dealings with this attorney and another person just a few days ago brought his name up to me as they have dealt with issues against him also. They then brought this article to my attention as he is being recommended for suspension by the MASS BARR counsel. "A disciplinary committee in Massachusetts has recommended a nine-month suspension for attorney Michael J. Shivick for threatening letters, breaches of client confidentiality, and other ethical violations. According to the Board of Bar Overseers, the committee found that Shivick committed the following misconduct: Sent an inappropriate demand letter containing improper threats of criminal prosecution and intemperate language. Sent a complaint letter about a judge's qualifications and integrity with statements made in reckless disregard of their truth or falsity. Revealed confidential client information on two separate occasions while withdrawing from a representation. Used an inadequate fee agreement that failed to communicate the basis of the fee. The disciplinary committee also outlined aggravating factors in their recommendation, including Shivick's experience as an attorney, multiple rule violations, lack of candor during the hearing, and failure to acknowledge the harm caused to clients and the legal profession. The recommendation from May 2025 includes conditions for Shivick's reinstatement: He must continue therapy and anger management, with reports submitted to bar counsel. He must pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination if the suspension is reduced to six months or less. He must work with a mentor for one year to review his caseload and ethical practices."

Rude and arrogant for lack of better words. Wants business but not willing to hear and gain client trust to build confidence towards case. Don’t waste your time nor money in my opinion. If there was an option no stars that would have been my choice, enough said.

Attorney Shivick has been my attorney concerning a particular case on an appeal concerning my case. He is very experienced and knows how to do his part. Having helped me with even an in person hearing, he demonstrated impressive ways as an attorney that left the other party with not much defense based upon the facts he was able to collect against their own words.
