I had a consult with Heydt Philabeck for an employment issue. While he seemed very engaged during the consult, he told me he would follow up with me after he had looked through my documentation. I would’ve been totally okay if he looked through things and then advised that he felt he couldn’t help, but he led me to believe he was considering taking my case and would look through things, so I held off on talking with other counsel. He never got back to me, I tried calling his office multiple times and emailing him and he never responded. My issue was very time sensitive so it was really unfortunate I wasted time waiting on him when I could’ve found other counsel leaving me to scramble even more at the last minute after he blew me off. I wouldn’t recommend this firm. Roberta King at King Latham was AMAZING and I would highly recommend going with her for NC employment related issues.
I was recommended to this firm for employment law by another firm that is helping our company with a truck crash. I was told to call and speak to Mr. Philbeck. I spoke to his assistant, I think “Anna” was her name. She stopped me mid sentence and informed me his fee was 750.00 for 2 hrs, and no shorter time available. She could not have been more rude or condescending. 750.00 for two hrs is pretty high in my opinion and I probably would have paid the consultation fee had it not been for her attitude. I thanked her and took my business elsewhere.
Mr. Philbeck was invaluable in getting my case resolved. Caring, strategic, and highly experienced. I am confident I would not have had the same outcome without him.
David Wisz was the attorney who handled a frivolous lawsuit against my company. Bailey Dixon was hired by my liability insurance company. Mr Wisz handled everything and kept me up to date on what was going on every step of the way. He and his staff did a great job and it ended with a very good result. I really appreciated all the updates and communication.
