My husband and I are so glad we found Baker & Baker to handle our guardianship case. We were concerned that the process for transferring a guardianship case from another state and getting it approved in Texas would be a difficult and long process. Mr. Baker and his paralegal, Hailey Hale were wonderful. They were constantly keeping us updated on the progress and took the time to answer any questions we had. After dealing with 3 different attorneys in another state, Baker & Baker was a breath of fresh air. Their professionalism and compassion for what we were dealing with was so appreciated. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I know the next time we need legal advice we will be making a call to them again.

I learned of Baker & Baker through a presentation they gave at the Mirador recently on senior law, They explained the need for a will, a medical power of attorney and a financial power of attorney. I needed review of all 3 of these so I made an appointment with them and within a month, had new versions of all three. They were pleasant, easy to work with, carefully explaining each step of the way with me, and reasonably priced.

Then when it was time for my husband and I to do our own wills and estate planning, MPOAH, etc. I knew where to go. Mr. Baker is kind,competent and experienced. His staff was friendly and efficient. Baker&Baker law firm did an excellent job preparing a Will and Powers of Attorney for my father. I needed it done very quickly and they were able to get everything done in only four days over a weekend.

Baker & Baker did an excellent job handling my mother's Medicaid application as well as probate issues after she passed away. They answered any and all questions that my brother and I had in a prompt and informative manner. I would recommend Baker & Baker to any one needs an attorney to represent them in the Medicaid application process as well as probate matters.

Will not go there again. At first I paid $295 for the consultation to give me advice on my mother’s Medicaid app, since I had my brother’s check deposited in her bank account. He gave me a short Medicaid form and told me to do the letter, explaining why the checks are going into the same account. He stated he would look at it afterwards and would charge me $175 for a half hour. I gave him $350 for a full hour. I scheduled another appointment when finished, but got a different response when I came in. They wanted $3500 in order to submit the app. I didn’t want that. When I told them I couldn’t afford that, Mr. Baker came in and told me that if I wasn’t hiring them, he wasn’t going to do anymore for me and Good Luck. I tried to show him the $350 receipt, but he didn’t want to see it. $350 went out the door. Find another attorney.

This law firm has helped so many of our residents at Pelican Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and have donated to our facility. They care and they are a core part of what seniors need when they have nobody else to advocate for them. Thank you Mr Baker!

Baker & Baker assisted my mother who is elderly, Medicaid recipient, has health issues and does not speak English. Had nothing but problems with this firm in getting Medicaid approval for my husband. They took over 8 months to get my application submitted and when I would complain, they would tell me that I hadn't submitted the paperwork and I would provide the same information over and over again. After application was submitted, Medicaid closed out the application due to requested information not received in a timely manner. This cost me an additional $15,000.00+ because a new application had to be made. They are truly uncaring and don't accept responsibility for anything. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone

I don't even think there is a NEGATIVE 0 to rate these people. They took advantage of my father and had him sign forms that were NOT THOROUGHLY GONE over with him (dad). My father later told me yesterday that he didn't even know what it was that he was signing, "It was like a hit and run job." Unfortunately, my sister was the one with dad and she did not pay attention OR it was convenient for her and her husband, Dad expressed that "He did not sign any "Declaration...." Talk about taking advantage of the elderly. very unprofessional and will Definitely be reporting the to the :State Bar of Texas." I do not want any apologies from Mr. or Mrs. Baker. You should be ashamed of yourselves for all the damage you have created.
