Tried to get my father on Medicaid after a stroke. Terry and his posse play buddy buddy with you upfront but the second you don’t do something their exact way Terry throws a temper tantrum and banishes your case to not even finish. Do not pay this man a dollar until he completes your service. It was like paying a contractor to do a bathroom remodel paid upfront but the work never got delivered. Extremely unprofessional and at this point will be going to court for pain and suffering after what this company caused me.

Over the past 15 years, I have had the good fortune to work with Cassandra Rich on a variety of commercial real estate transactions. Each time, she approaches our needs by first developing a smart strategy that moves us through complex deals and gets us organized to facilitate a smooth transaction. But most important, Cassandra is the best negotiator I have ever worked with in my career. She is smart, sharp and quick with logic that generates confidence and respect at the negotiating table. Her ability to handle any negotiation with with professionalism and an ethical, fair approach that moves deals forward, while protecting our interest, is what makes her an indispensable advisor.

By chance while helping a relative find information about trusts, I came across these reviews. The number of bad reviews (of attorneys I'm not acquainted with) surprised me. I feel I must leave a positive review of Barclay Damon Attorney Lisa Arrington. She has done an excellent job for both of my parents during several very difficult years, with a complicated situation. We continue to rely on her at times and she always comes through. She is truly an expert in the elder care field, and we highly recommend her.

I hired someone from another firm to settle my mom’s estate. They left that firm to join Barclay Damon. I should have dropped them then. Matthew Eaves is a decent man but Rachelle Nuhfer has no empathy or understanding of how difficult a time this is when settling a family members affairs. She provides nothing in the way of service without a exorbitant fee attached. This firm is in it for the money 1000 percent and treat their grieving clients like garbage . They do not return calls or emails and are always out of the office spending their clients inheritance money that they did very little to earn. I have been waiting for over 3 1/2 years for this to all be settled. It’s a shame you can’t sue an attorney. Do not use this firm.

I would be amazed if Karen Schafer ever had any repeat clients. The only concern of this firm is the billable hour. They just review the same matters over and over again, never accomplishing anything. To top it off, hours are severely inflated. If you email a question do not expect an answer within several weeks. If you call don’t bother leaving a voicemail, there will be no response. I can’t think of one experience I have had since hiring them for my fathers estate. They turn your loss into their gain Other than that they are great to work with.

Karen Schaefer knows NOTHING about business succession planning. She never even verified the assets of the estate. Her neglect cost our family a litigation lasting over 8 years and millions of dollars. All her fault ! Broke the sacred attorney client privilege, just to straight up commit perjure ! She lies under oath !! STAY AWAY

Karen Schafer, partner of this firm, cost my family millions of dollars and years of grief with her failure to secure fine details and lack of due diligence. When you hire an estate planner you are trusting them with your life and families future. Interesting that she was with Lacey Katzen prior.. I wonder if her resignation was voluntary... whatever you do, go elsewhere!!!!

Barclay & Damon made a huge mistake partnering with Karen Schaefer. Not only did she aid in my family losing most of our inheritance, she caused us severe mental anguish.
