Can't ever get a hold of my uncle's lawyer they don't answer phone calls doors are always locked and they might answer a email in almost a week later they also let there clients sit in jail for almost year or longer he doesn't even communicate with there clients

Mr. Barfield was appointed as my daughter‘s court appointed attorney. She has been calling and fighting now for me to get a hold of her attorney. My granddaughter got a hold of him after my granddaughter got a hold of him. I tried calling him, and the voicemail says he will not speak to anybody unless you are the accused, not family members not no one else. He called my daughter indigenous and was upset because she couldn’t pay for his services because he was court appointed she called him and he told her he was no longer her attorney because her and her family bug him too much and she needed to yet to find another attorney

The individual answering phones for Brooks’ office today, who introduced herself as his secretary without a name, was extremely rude and dismissive. After providing my name, she immediately interrupted me, asked who I was calling for, stated the case was closed, and then refused to even review the email authorization that permitted her to speak with me. Instead, she hung up the phone. When I politely asked her to be courteous after the first interruption, she continued in the same manner. This type of behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and a poor reflection on the attorney she represents. First impressions matter, and it is disappointing that someone with this attitude is the initial point of contact for clients or colleagues. I would expect better professionalism and courtesy from a firm that wishes to be taken seriously. Do better. Don't know how to rate this yet my wife recently has had mr Barfield court appointed on her appeal and I have stated she is innocent because of where I seen her and area incident occurred would of been impossible for her to have in that area.i have call Barfield office twice and waiting on a call back I will let know how case turns out my wife's appeal was affirmed but my daughter just showed me video of convicting witness commenting perjury on stand of sobriety date and admiring to buying liquor for underage step daughter and I found original flip phone showing witness offering testimony for money and threatening me I need to know what to do with and what can b done

Only giving a 1 star because zero isn't available, SAME YOUR MONEY! He will make empty promises then completely disappear as soon as you write that check. I have been calling and leaving voicemails and messages for months and have gotten not so much as a hi since. Worthless attorney and should lose his license for stealing people's money.

I was represented in 2019 for a criminal case . I never spoke to them until the morning of court in which he rushed me through the reading and didn't answer my questions .Now I have the same case and same thing court again in the am and i still have yet to speak to my attorney. he also has not returned emails or even asked me any information as to what i have done completed or programs participated thru or been a in regards to my court orders !

IF YOUR LOOKONG FOR AN ATTORNEY THAT IS HONEST AND WILL FIGHT FOR YOU, BROOKS BARFIELD IS NOT THE ATTORNEY YOU WANT REPRESENTING YOU. HLYOU WONT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH HIM, HE DOESNT RETURN PHONE CALLS, YOU WILL HAVE A COURT DATE HE WILL NOT BE PRESENT BECAUSE HE WILL BE IN ANOTHER COURT THEY WILL CONTINUE IT AS THEY DID MINE FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND WHEN HE FINALLY HAS TIME TO RESOLVE YOUR CASE IN COURT HE WILL NOT NOTIFY YOU OF YOUR COURT DATE AND YOU WILL GET YOUR BOND SURRENDERED. HE WONT ADMIT FAULT TO THE JUDGE SAYING HE FAILED TO NOTIFY YOU IN A TIMELY MANNER ABOUT YOUR COURT DATE AND HE WILL ALLOW THE JUDGE TO ISSIE A WARRANT. IF HE WILL LIE TO THE JUDGE HE WILL LIE TO ANY ONE. IF HE CANT BE HONEST HOW CAN YOU EXPECT HIM TO BE HONEST TO THE PROSECUTOR ABOUT YOUR CASE AND TRUST HIM WITH YOUR FREEDOM. PLEASE TAKE HEED TO THIS WARNING. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF FIRING HIM AND MAKING A COMPLAINT TO THE STATE BAR. YOU DESERVE AN HONEST ATTORNEY THAT WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND BROOKS BARFIELD IS NOT THAT ATTORNEY.

Brookes is an absolute, stone cold, beast of an attorney. I believed in my heart that I was innocent of my charge. This charge has been lingering for so long due to COVID and me NOT accepting a deal. Oh how the prosecution tried to make me take a deal. They even threatened increasing my charge from misdemeanor to felony, in an attempt that scare me into a deal. Brooks supported my decision for a jury trial and was prepared and on his game. He lit up the court room with his charismatic behavior and within the first 10 minutes of trial you could easily see, he was 5 steps ahead of the prosecution. If you are considering a lawyer, I’m sorry for your situation but hire Brookes! He is insanely smart and will fight for you!

Barfield was my husbands court appointed attorney and was amazing!! He fought tooth and nail to get my husband the lowest plea agreement. No issues getting in contact with him! Highly recommend him.

My brother had this gentleman as his lawyer. He was liared to by him and when they went to court he went back on his word. I would not advise you to use this guy. On yop of that his staff is rude and everytime we called the assistant either had an attitude or was rude and hung up on us.

Brooks and his paralegal, Melissa, handled two felony cases for me and were able to resolve them for me without having to go to trial by getting a favorable outcome and punishment in my favor. Was lied to about everything. Mr. Barfield was more than anxious to talk about my case until I signed contract. From that point on I could not get answers and would be 2 to 3 weeks before I would get a reply back. Showed up to mediation with nothing prepared and no consultation before hand so I knew nothing while I was assured I my attorney would be the one discussing matters which was also a lie. After terminating Mr. Barfield it took 2 weeks to get a detailed summary of my bill, then it was only hours written down the came to the amount that I had paid already. Reason being so he could keep all my money while having little time or effort in my case. I was lied to and cheated by an attorney I was paying to remedy the same situation. I got more done Pro Se in 2 weeks then I did in 3 months overpaying for dishonest representation. I have dealt with several attorneys and this being the most dishonest and unorganized.
