I do not recommend Barry Davis. I was disatisfied with his attention to detail, his lack of preperation, and his delivery in the court room. We did lose our court case but I would have been satisfied if our case was represented well which I think was far from what I think happened. Most people with an interest in our case, even the winning party, remarked on our lack of representation in the courtroom. Over the last decade the lack of adaquite legal representation has continued to affect my life and I've had to continually repost my review because they were getting taken down. I'm guessing that there are more negative reviews from past clients that have also been removed.

My spouse and I owned and operated a small business for six years and relied on Barry Davis' excellent legal advice on a variety of issues. We were particularly grateful for his counsel on dispute and conflict resolution with other partner businesses, finance, and taxes. Most recently, he guided us through profitably closing our business in a manner that also allowed us to reward our staff. Barry was willing to communicate in writing, on the phone, or in person--whatever best suited our needs and schedule. He was forthright and honest. It was apparent that he had our best interest in mind. To top it all off, his services are extremely affordable. I would recommend Barry Davis to anyone in need of legal advice, but especially small business owners!

Do not use Barry Davis. He runs up the bill and does not follow instructions. He will create extra work so he can bill extra. No results. Terrible person. Filed lawsuit against him to recover the fees paid to him for noting. Also filed complaint with the Oregon Bar Association UPDATE AFTER READING HIS REVIEW: He accomplished NOTHING which is why he was terminated. Then he even added in extra fees before refunding the remainder of retainer including my call to tell him he was fired. We have had to retain new counsel to do what Barry was supposed to do. We have also filed a Bar complaint and a lawsuit against him. With so many other great lawyers out there, why take a chance?

Mr. Davis is an exceptional attorney. He was able to get my divorce done quickly & efficiently. If you need a good lawyer in getting the job done, I highly recommend Barry Davis!

Worst lawyer! Even shouldn’t call him as a lawyer! Just a selfish human being! This Lawyer said he could finish my divorce issue in one month, but it took 8 months still not done yet. During this 8 months, he did nothing but forwarding emails! My x husband was selling house( my name was not on title even I paid it) . I told this lawyer Barry Davis for MANY TIMES, but he was too lazy and didn’t do his job at all to hold the property at court. Then my x husband hold the house money to force me sign unfair agreement, this lawyer was on x husband side! Because he wants to cover his mistake that he didn’t hold house for me! Then he started to claim “You say he is selling, but not says someone is buying..”, if it’s selling, of course someone could buy at any time! He must think my English is not so good? Plus I also emailed him when house was pending! He charged me $5000 and did nothing but made me lost good chance, lost my house and allowed x husband took my son to another state! Then when I found out x husband tricked me and requested him to file at court for me immediately, he did nothing again! And still persuading me sign it and ‘ will get half of house money’ It’s all because his lazy, now cause me separating from my son! I hate this lawyer! If you are busy, lazy , u shouldn’t waste my time! Even stupid knows I have to hold property at court. As “professional “, u don’t do it or even suggest it for me. Now he claims even I told him someone is buying house(actually I did, he just didn’t admit, but I have email evidence), what he can do is very limited. Excuse, all excuse! My name was not on house title, but it’s purchased during marriage. He also claims all x husband threaten is because I change the draft agreement last minute! ( x husband says 300 usd child support was ok, ask my layer file, but then he didn’t sign, once got house money, says not ok to trick me) He forgot whose lawyer he is! Even he knows my ex husband is nasty and tricked me. But because he wants to cover his own mistakes, so he acts on ex husband side! How ridiculous! Of course he didn’t refund me one dollar! I’m telling you, this thing can’t be done like this. I will report to correct place to let people know someone is not qualified as a lawyer!

Once I presented him with the contract he informed me that the contract was not in my best interest and asked if he could locate a better contract for me. I agreed, and Barry went above and beyond by finding another source and one that cut my interest in half. Had trouble with flood insurance agents, specifically on grandfather clauses of recently remapped FEMA floodways. Less than1 day, all issues resolved and can close on my house. Thanks again, highly recommended.
