In February 2024, I contacted Bassett Murray Law Group for a outstate guardianship application. The initial consultation with attorney Kimberly Parks was pleasant. Later on, she insisted to pursue a provisional order in Michigan. It took several meetings and email communications just in order to stop her from doing it. Things went off the rails after that. I will update more when the attorney-client relationship is terminated.

My Son, and I have worked with this Bassett Murray Law Group for some time with various needs. With us being new to the area, we had been highly recommended to this law firm. I honestly whole heartedly say this: Everyone in that office is down to earth, friendly, kind in helping you with what ever you need. They are knowledgeable in what they do, they all work as a team. This is a great environment to do your personal estate planning business. It is quiet and confidential. The people are respectful, friendly, and enjoy each others company. Their expertise on estate planning and Michigan law is tops as reflected in our conversations with them and the paperwork presented to us a the completion of our estate planning. I had an issue regarding social security, so I decided to reach out to Basset Murray Law. Unfortunately, there was just a total lack of communication, and it would be a while before I would get any updates, and when left a message, it wasn't always returned. I wasn't even advised that the paralegal working my case left. I would not recommend them.

Amanda Murray has been dealing with our deceased mother's estate since Feb. 2024. We have had no clear progress since that point, and I have reached out to her on multiple occasions requesting simple updates with no response. I've even reached out to the law firm, who stated they would notify her, but they seem to be just as poor at following up. Now its 4 months later, and she is going to court with PR and still has not respected the 7 seven siblings to clarify the issues. Do all legal teams who work for an estate work this way? Or is it just Bassett Murray Law? Communication and professionalism is not there speciality. And sympathy is non-existent.

Jane Bassett and the team. Helped me with my VA disability Board of Veterans Appeal hearing. I would definitely refer them to others. They were able to help me get a disability rating, and also get a much higher rating than I expected. They are great people and made me feel respected and that my case mattered to them.

Our family had no idea what we were in for.. Bassett Murray Law Group was recommended to us by several nursing/senior Homes as we were in a panic search for a good facility. After a long chat with Jane Bassett to fill her in, we then worked with Kim Sanders and she has been our guiding angel, for sure, with Jane backing her up when necessary. They solved all sorts of problems we knew were impossible for us to deal with. 2022 was a nightmare in nursing home details, finding the right spot, taking care of all the RED tape, saved by Kim, and this law firm. We learned elder law is much different than regular law…. They know the ropes to take care of what the needs are.. they know the needs before we knew what they would be. We are soo thankful we were directed to this office! I have recommended friends to go here, they have, and are extremely pleased. Thanks to the whole staff at Bassett Murray Law!

Amanda Murray prepared Trust documents for both my husband and I and my mom. She is very competent and down to earth, and answered all of our questions and concerns thoroughly, and happily provided explanations multiple times to my mom (and me). Her paralegal is great as well, and would answer e-mails within the hour! When my husband couldn't get to the office to sign the trust because of a situation at work, they offered to send staff to U of M so that he wouldn't have to travel to the firm. Great job!
