I cannot recommend Baumgardner Law highly enough. Birk Baumgartner is a phenomenal attorney who provides expert, high-level representation. It’s important to note that because Birk is such an effective advocate, he has unfortunately become a target for the opposing party in my case. They have resorted to posting false, defamatory reviews to sabotage his reputation simply because they couldn’t win on the facts. Birk is a professional of the highest caliber, and his results speak for themselves.

I would not recommend Baumgartner Law for criminal defense. My partner hired this firm with the belief that they would fight for justice, but we experienced the opposite. Birk Baumgartner originally claimed the charges could be dismissed and that he had leverage due to strong exculpatory evidence, including admissions of illegal GPS tracking and issues with the protection order timeline. He even said in a recorded call that this was “what he does” — meaning he fights DAs aggressively and could get results. However, his associate Dan did the opposite. He failed to present any of the critical evidence, pressured my partner into taking a plea, misrepresented the facts in court, and then lied to the judge about being on the same page with Birk. This was a betrayal of trust, and it became clear that the firm was more interested in collecting fees than pursuing justice. We have documented everything and will be submitting a formal complaint to the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. Save yourself the time, money, and heartbreak — look elsewhere for a lawyer who actually fights for their client.

5 stars all around! Yes its the court system and things take time, but it felt great having this firm in my corner for the modification of parental time and child support order. Communication from start to finish, Any concern or question was answered in a timely matter making a difficult situation barrable. Got the 50/50 I was fighting for! Will use this Firm for Any legal issues in the future and would recommend to any friend or family member!

I love this firm and the dedication to law and justice. Diligently working on cases 24/7. I cannot be more grateful for the hard work done for myself. Given google is what we all use for finding anything needed, do look at the many publications in news outlets proving they are the best. Changed my life and literally fought for my freedom, and won. Forever thank you.

Unpleasant to work with

Response from owner

This is a fake review posted by an opposing party in a federal lawsuit. My firm has never had any relationship with this person, and pursuant to 18 U.S. Code § 1512 that makes this review a felony. If this is a form of intimidation of a party or a federal attorney in a federal suit, it is also a felony and contempt of federal Court. It's also punishable by $50,000 per fake review. See 16 CFR Part 465. Your IP address is lodged with Google and accessible to me and everyone else, including the SEC and DOJ, and the US Marshal. I have it. Let us see if this review stays up. I hope it does.

This law firm misses motion deadlines and hearings. Complete trash law firm public defenders do better work.

Response from owner

Mr. Schreiber, with respect, your interpretation of the truth is as misguided as your manners. Every litigant is entitled to a vigorous defense. However, this law firm will not waiver from our moral compass and respect for all people in our justice system. I wish you the best of luck, and that you never run across trash like us again.

These guys can do wonders and they’re on the “up and up” with holding the city of Denver responsible for violating basic civil rights. They have represented me and did wonders for two cases and a simple google search of news articles of this group will show that they have won their clients settlements well into the millions for civil rights violations in federal court against Denver police. If your rights have been violated these guys should be top of your list to guarantee that police will be held accountable in federal court. They believe in the constitution and American rights and will go above and beyond that corrupt government officials are held responsible for not respecting them.

Response from owner

Thank you so much for trusting us with your case. It was a pleasure and an honor to represent you.

I'd advise quitting your job in order to qualify for a public defender over working with Baumgartner Law. They will string you along for literally months, neglect to do things they themselves told you they would do, and they'll even neglect to appear for your court dates. And then when you get upset that your life is falling apart around you, they call you emotionally manipulative. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Edit In response to Mr. Baumgartner: Shortly after signing the contract with Dan, my ex drained my bank account. I made Dan aware of this. I made Dan aware when I cut my hours back at my job, and when I eventually had to quit my job due to PTSD. I repeatedly reiterated to Dan that I had absolutely nothing left, and yall would inevitably desert me, but he assured me that would not be the case and we would work it out somehow. For MONTHS. I could have switched lawyers months ago if Dan had not continuously mislead me. The kind thing to do would have been to refer me elsewhere, but he did not. He strung me along for months, *promised that this would not make it to trial* and ultimately neglected to do anything helpful. 0 stars. By the way, you can thank the public defender who literally talked me down off a bridge for this review. EDIT 2; Since leaving this review, I've since been declared legally incompetent to stand trail. And yall were perfectly willing to put me through that just to line your coffers. Seems like maybe business hasn't been going so well for yall? That's a shame...

Response from owner

I'm sorry that you feel this way. We cannot control how long the COurt process takes and we do have to charge for trial representation. We do wish you the best of luck.

If you are looking for a tough lawyer read this response. This review is fake. Geoff Gichrist is the 26 year-old little brother of Scott Gilchrist, an employee of an opposing party who I am suing in federal court. Scott’s fake review was removed by Google today because it was fraudulent, which means it’s also defamatory. Geoff, quit while you’re behind. Recommended Baumgartner law firm via attorney w/ same family name as Doctor commencing suit against. Dr. Baumgartner accepted $5,000 Apple payment promising, “written opinion.” Am Senior subsisting on Social Security, grievously affected, after hospital malfeasance; No letter of Agreement (LOA) nor contactual understanding to represent promised; however, expected. Weeks transpired. Subsequently forced to reverse MasterCard payment. Under these conditions, unfortunately cannot recommend Baumgartner Law after distasteful experience.

The Baumgartner Law firm and specifically Birk Baumgartner, represented me in an injury case in a professional, straightforward manner. Birk was always willing to take time and answer questions thoroughly, without rushing. I would recommend them if you need legal counsel.

Response from owner

Thank you, Tim. You were an ideal client, and it was a pleasure representing you.

I had a terrifying and confusing case that I didn't know how to handle or how to even approach it. but once I was in touch with Baumgartner Law, they took the time to sit me down and show me all the angles of what I was working with and how to approach it. With there help and care I was able to win my case and continue growing my career and start down a new path without any strings holding me down. I wouldn't be where I was today without the help of their incredible team.

Response from owner

Logan, thank you for the kind review. It has been a pleasure and an honor representing you. Thank you for putting your trust in our team.
