My husband and I worked with Attorney Mote on a legal matter, and unfortunately had a bad experience from start to finish. Communication-wise, it took a long time to get invoices from the office. We didn't receive an invoice for April work until the very end of May, for example. When we did receive an invoice, it was way more than we expected to pay (almost three times what we've paid for similar services). It felt like the office was more interested in stretching things out and spending unnecessary billable time on things, than really listening to our needs and being helpful. In the end, we felt nickel & dimed by the office. It was also a pain to just get things done with Attorney Mote. She insisted on meeting in person at the offices, when a phone call or Zoom meeting would have worked perfectly fine for our needs. This was difficult since we're working full-time, so my husband ended up having to take time off of work due to this insistence on meeting in person. More flexibility in that would have been appreciated. I would not recommend working with Attorney Mote, especially if you don't have much experience with lawyers, like me. This made me weary to work with lawyers again in the future.
