I visited this firm based on a referral, but the intake process was highly unprofessional. While the attorney was away, the office manager, Megan, informed me that she 'vetoes' cases herself. Without an attorney ever reviewing my evidence or documentation, she was dismissive and suggested I 'just find a new place to live' in response to a serious safety and harassment issue. Every other firm I’ve contacted in Des Moines maintained a standard of professional courtesy and offered referrals if the case wasn't a fit. To have a non-attorney gatekeeper make a unilateral decision in such a condescending manner is a significant red flag. If you are looking for a firm that conducts due diligence, look elsewhere.

Ben and Megan were great to work with. Extremely responsive, communicative, and great assets for any questions that arose. No nickel and diming, either. Ben has a good relationship with several mediators in the area. He was well-respected and his work spoken very highly of by my divorce mediator, who was chosen by the other party. Ben was balanced between advocating for me and keeping my expectations reasonable based on the priorities that I had communicated with him. Ben made a fairly miserable situation a little less bitter. I would not hesitate to use his services again for legal counsel in any area.

All I can say, is that I could not have found a better lawyer than Ben Lynch to represent myself for getting a divorce and obtaining sole custody and guardianship of my 1 year old little princess. It’s all thanks to Ben’s drive and dedication of wasting precisely not even a single minute of making sure I got everything I needed done and making sure he’s looking out for my best interests, while securing the best possible outcome that most men only dream of that became a reality for me… and that is have been awarded everything in my favor and making sure my daughter was with the right parent!
