No, incorrect, you refused to listen and gather the information, or allow me to pay you for an actual consultation, continuously cut me off, wouldn't listen, and were just plain rude for no damn reason. I'm not upset that you didn't take the case, because I clearly wouldn't be able to trust you to win, I'm glad you revealed what you were capable of on the phone before I paid good money to lose because of my attorney.....I'll just wait for BOLI to help me find someone competent to get the job done. Nice try, though. And it's Mrs. You didn't even get that right.....thats ok, I get it, you dont actually want to have to work for money, you just want easy cases that don't require any work. You were intimidated, I get it. Best of luck. I called asking if I could schedule a PAID consultation. He rudely began asking asking me questions without gathering all of the info. Then said ok that was your consultation...I don't understand how someone can be a LAWYER and make any kind of decision with nothing. I have stacks of notes, I lost money on my paycheck, I was tormented for almost 2 months, I have time stamps for video footage that show it, etc, and this guy didn't even bother. Kept cutting me off, was extremely rude...tried to hang up on me because he was caught up on the wrong details because HE was asking the wrong questions....glad he was too high on his horse to be willing to take my case, because what AWFUL communication that 5 minutes was...careful, having all of the information does not seem to matter to this person, which will probably cost you your case. Or he lacks so much confidence in himself he only takes cases he doesnt have to do any work for🙄 Absolutely atrocious interaction.

My case was a long complicated nuanced case that required a lot of work. I had tried to explain it to other attorneys who just thought it was too much. Mr Rosenthal heard me out, and thought there was a roadmap to my case. From the moment we decided to work together he was accessible and dove into my case with an attention to detail that I seldom have seen among attorneys (and my mother was a law librarian!). He knew every issue that was important to me, we discussed objectives and possible outcomes and we were always clear on what value certain things could bring to our case (depositions, mediation, etc) and their costs so there was never a surprise. Mr. Rosenthal was concerned for my well being and I felt like he truly represented ME, my principles, and by the end I trusted he knew every detail of my case from my standpoint and perspective;I trusted him completely. I hired Ben Rosenthal through a recommendation, and I have to say that he has been a pleasure to work with and is extremely competent. I had a disability claim with a company that he was assisting me with, and he was very well versed on the Oregon State laws and was able to keep me focused on how the directive of the law is what will support a case. Going to court is often a viable option but you must weigh the pros and the cons. I had to dig deep to decide how to proceed but I was given credible guidance based on the facts and the laws (Federal and State) and in the end, the decision was mine (the client). It’s not up to an attorney to decide for us as to how to proceed. I made the correct decision with a fair settlement and will move on to better things. Ben is articulate, cites the laws and communicates effectively with opposing council. Ben also won’t take on a case just for the sake of charging you an hourly fee. He is not interested in taking advantage of someone if the risk/benefit for the client is not in their best interest.

Rude, unprofessional and their attitude of self righteousness is next level. Avoid at all costs. If they can’t treat you with human decency how the hell do you think they’ll be able to defend you and your basic rights?

Complete WASTE of time, STEER CLEAR- I spoke with Lisa, Ben’s secretary, who wasted my time and lied to me. She had me complete an intake with her on the phone and told me that Ben would call me between the hours of 11-1 PM same day and if not, he’d leave a voicemail. I called Lisa close to 1 PM to let her know that Ben could actually call me later in the day as I opened my schedule up to increase the likelihood of us being able to speak…When I called, I somehow accidentally got ahold of Mr. Rosenthal himself- who openly admitted that Lisa had NEVER shared my information with him NOR did he have any clue that he was supposed to call me between 11 and 1. He hadn’t even heard of my name! Shame on Lisa for fooling people and wasting their time- it appears this is not the first time this has happened based on previous reviews. Not to mention she was incredibly rude the first day I called. I then received a call right around 2 from Lisa stating that “their case load was too large”- something they’d clearly know from the start. Makes you wonder why they won’t take your case on…Of course that’s left for us to speculate. It takes an extra level of sinister to pretend you care- just say you won’t help from the beginning! Steer clear and don’t waste your time.
