In the course of the past several years I have had the good fortune to work with Attorney Robert Murphy of Berlin Law Offices, LLC in a number of Estate files in two local CT Probate Districts. In one, as Estate Administrator, I engaged Attorney Murphy to represent me in a complex statutory action in the Superior Cort to recover funds due the Estate from certain tax proceedings. In every instance, I found Attorney Murphy to be knowledgeable , insightful, eloquent and diligent. His strict attention to ethical standards, particularly in one challenging matter, was noteworthy. I would recommend Attorney Murphy to anyone seeking skilled legal counsel. Attorney Jack M. Bassett, Avon, CT

Robert at Berlin Law was able to help me with my legal needs and answer all of my questions. He’s honest and his prices are fair. Highly recommend, thanks Robert for all of your hard work.

I was not happy with Attorney Robert Murphy's services. He was assigned to represent my father in a conservatorship case. He charged for each call he made, even when he could not connect with someone. The minimum charge was 1/10 of an hour. So, for example, while my father was in the hospital, Attny Murphy tried calling him several times, but my father was not always available to talk. He charged $27.50 for each call he placed when no connection was made. When he called me to gather information about my father's hospitalization, he did not disclose that he would be charging for the call, but that 15 minute call did also appear on my father's bill. He also spoke very slowly on the phone and in the hearing which just made dollar signs spin in my head watching the money go go go... I did express my discontent when my father received the bill. Attorney Murphy did not address all my billing questions, but did agree to lower the bill by 1/10. So that is why he is getting 2 stars instead of 1. But it makes me very uncomfortable that lawyers are able to do this type of billing legally, especially when dealing with a client with a mental illness.
