Amazing!!! Would use time and time again

I called this office about a bench warrant connected to a speeding ticket I received in Picayune in 2017. From the very beginning I was clear and specific: I told the intake person I had a bench warrant for a 2017 ticket and needed to know the proper steps to resolve it. I was told a consultation would be $100 and that it would basically “cover the entire process,” but no one explained what that meant or why a paid consult was necessary for something that sounded like a straightforward traffic issue. I paid the $100 the following week. During the consultation, I was quoted $6,000 to handle the matter and the conversation leaned heavily on worst-case outcomes like jail/being booked. Of course, I knew better than to move forward with the process. I was then referred to attorney Greg Alston (Hattiesburg/Picayune), who personally called the court, got the correct information quickly, and explained exactly what I needed to do, free of charge. I learned this was tied to a $225 ticket and could be handled directly with the court by paying the ticket to have the warrant lifted. That confirmed for me that I paid $100 for information that either wasn’t provided, or wasn’t presented transparently. Maybe my experience won’t be everyone’s, but I left feeling like fear was used to push an unnecessary, extremely expensive representation fee instead of simply explaining the most direct and reasonable path. I would not recommend based on transparency and pricing. I will be seeking a refund on that consultation fee.
