He took my case in May 2023 to pursue primary custody. In April 2024, we won primary custody. In July 2024, he helped us win again after an objection to the standing master’s order. Then in July 2025, when my ex tried to bring me back to court again, James stepped in once more and helped us maintain primary custody without having to go through another full court fight. What stood out most was how prepared and knowledgeable he was every time it mattered. In court, James knew my case down to the smallest details. He understood the law, the terminology, and the strategy at a level that was honestly impressive to watch. Whenever the other side raised an issue, he had an answer and knew how to respond. In July 2024 I found myself in need of personal legal advice. I contacted James at Big Sky Justice for professional advice. Amazingly, James met with me the same day I contacted his office and spent over an hour advising me regarding my issue. Upon completing our meeting I asked what I owed for his service. James told me he does not charge for an initial consultation and I did not owe him for the time he spent advising me. Amazing! Not feeling it was fair to not pay James for his service, I sent him a letter and check for what I thought was his hourly rate. The check I sent never cleared my bank account , so today I called James' office and found out that James had voided the check that I sent his firm I can't speak more highly of James and the service he provided me. My experience truely is in sharp contrast to the horror stories people tell regarding their lawyer experiences. I am not sure how these 5 star reviews could be true? Definitely not our experience. DIFFICULT to get hold of, SLOW moving, and sparky when called out. He did help my son with a few things but we had to pay money up front and we feel like his motivation for this case was low....
