Completely incompetent, dishonest and manipulative. Over billed me. Used a lawyer I expressly said not to use and then QUIT SIX DAYS BEFORE TRIAL. Did not give me access to the evidence gathered and work done (because they hadn't done any work) and then billed me for it.

I hired Boender & Payment to assist with a contested restraining order case, and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. Hannah Silverman represented me during a hearing that had significant implications for my life. In my personal opinion, the preparation and strategic approach felt minimal, and I left the courtroom feeling unsupported at a very critical time. After the hearing, I reached out to the firm regarding related legal matters that arose as a direct result of the trial. I expressed dissatisfaction with how things were handled and asked whether Ms. Silverman would be willing to assist further, including on a pro bono basis. Rather than discussing options or next steps, I received a formal notice of withdrawal and was told my client relationship with the firm was terminated. While I appreciate that my retainer was refunded, the overall experience left me feeling dismissed during a vulnerable moment. I believe clients deserve strong communication, follow-through, and advocacy, especially when dealing with highly sensitive legal matters. Based on my experience, I cannot personally recommend this firm for family/criminal law or restraining order cases.

Update: Boender and Payment were great attorneys. Clear communicators and got things done in a timely manor with transparency. Would work with them agian. ----- Lynn Sheppard (still a 1 star from me) went from her own practice to merging with this firm. She has a lot of reviews online that I wish I would have read in advance. From lack of communication, to no accountability and drawing simple matters out for an extra year; I couldn’t warn someone enough to do more research. Be ready to be over charged and under represented. I can’t speak about other attorneys here but after a year and a half of working with her, I regret not doing the simple research that would have saved me from working with someone who clearly could care less about her clients.
