Both of my teenage sons made ridiculous decisions (as kids do) and landed in legal trouble. Timothy Hixson represented us and was just very kind, very knowledgable and got the boys the best possible outcomes for a juvenile situation. I had to reach out with questions a year or so after the fact and he was very responsive but did not nickel and dime me for reviewing my email. I would highly reccomend.

Going through a divorce is never easy, and unfortunately, I started my journey with the wrong law firm. They charged me an outrageous amount but did very little in return. They didn’t even finish discovery, which, in hindsight, turned out to be a blessing as it led me to find Alicia. I honestly would have been left with nothing if I had stayed with them. Then I found Alicia, and everything changed. She took over my case with incredible skill and professionalism, picking up the pieces where the first firm had left off. She turned a nightmare situation into something manageable and handled everything with the utmost care and respect. If you're looking for someone who will genuinely fight for you with integrity, Alicia is the person you want by your side.

Didn't do nothing for me had to fire him because he didn't do nothing didnt communicate call text nor didn't even have my email but told me he sent me $1000 worth of emails never had my email I gave it to his secretary the day I fired him very rude and greedy fired and got someone who handled and cared about my future didn't give me no money back just a low down lawyer got me outta of $2500

Tim Hixson was my public defender. I can't express how great of a job he did. The only interactions I've had with the law have been because of my mental illness. I certainly wasn't the easiest client while I was disabled from Bipolar Disorder. He went the extra mile and communicated with family members while I was incapacitated and went to bat for my best interests. Even so far as making sure I had access to medication and taking the time to ask me how I was doing as a person and not just a client. I never thought I'd be in a position to need a public defender, but it was great experience. I ended up with just about as the most favorable outcome possible for me. I'm a year out from interactions with police/court system and still grateful. I was at the lowest point of my life following a break up, losing everything, recovering poorly from surgery, losing my job, and mentally ill from surgical drug interactions. He always spoke to me like a person with respect even tho I was an incredibly difficult client. My first interaction with Mr. Hixson went about as poorly as possible considering I didn't even realize I was in jail and he was a lawyer. He did a much better job than any of the multitude of doctors I saw before I had involvement from police as well.

From our first initial consultation we knew we found the right lawyer. Tim Hixson will shoot you straight and tell you how it is. Himself, along with the entire staff, has impeccable professionalism and communication. We could not have asked for a better outcome but he had us very well prepared for another situation just in case. Upfront, honest and excellent listening. They might not be the most affordable, but when it comes to your freedom and the system you do not want to go cheap. Prime example of you get what you pay for and they are worth every penny!

They're lawyers! They have the most thankless job in the world, but having been engaged with them on a couple of cases, I can say these attorneys are world-class! Every person with whom I have interacted at this firm seemed honest, forthright, and reliable. What more could one ask for? I mean, not going to court would be great, but if you have to go, then I strongly urge you to take one of the attorneys from Pickering, Benner, Becker, and Hixson. (My personal favorite is Tim Hixson, but, again, they all seem lovely) along with you. Update: 5 years later. I've had some chronic family law issues, and in all the time I've engaged this firm, I've been absolutely thankful that I have and grateful for their expertise. They've a diverse practice all in one place, and they are exceptionally good at engaging all aspects of the law when trying one's case. I hope you never need an attorney, but if you should, I 13/10 recommend!!!!!

In 2019 Hamilton County Prosecutor Lee Buckingham charged me with a crime that I did not commit. He charged me with felony theft and felony forgery, as a result I lost my job as a profession firefighter. I hired Eric Benner from BOJE, BENNER, BECKER, MARKOVICH & HIXSON, LLP. We work on this case for two years and ten months, finally we began our trial. Eric’s biggest obstacle was Prosecuting Attorney , she continually lied and embellished facts all for a victory. I witnessed Mr. Benner counter every accusation the prosecution threw at us. Eric invested in my situation, he knew the prosecutor was playing a “dirty” game. As a result at the end of my trial I was found “not guilty on all charges” Eric was victorious because he relied on the truth and his knowledge of the law. Mr. Benner has always been straight forward with me. I know I made the right choice placing my freedom in his hands.

Whoever picked up the phone did NOT want to take my call. His only interest was trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. This after being a bit nervous reaching out to a lawyer to begin with about a sensitive matter. This sort of ruined my morning. I'm telling the referral service that pointed me to them to STOP recommeding these guys, and this is my advice to anyone else reading this: Find someone else who will treat you with respect.
