After waiting 1-½ years for DUA to act on our claim we hired Mr. Howard, Jr. to assist us with getting them to issue payments based on the substantial amount for which they determined my wife to be eligible. This despite us answering every question they asked us since opening her claim. It required three contacts by him to the DUA to get them to act. They finally did, but did so by requesting information they already asked, then declaring her ineligible, and demanding return of the initial payment she received! Mr. Howard guided the submission of responses and filing for an appeal. He prepared us well for the hearing, and offered a statement on her behalf to argue that her eligibility should be restored without question. They issued a reversal of the ineligibility the same day! Mr. Howard states that on occasion DUA proves difficult with a claimant. Unfortunately they chose her, resulting in an undue burden on us and more of Mr. Howard’s time than was covered by the upfront (and only) fee we paid. Despite this he fought diligently for us. We recommend him to anyone having difficulty with DUA. Follow up: It took another six months but we finally received the benefits. DUA's new system didn't allow anyone who filed a claim under the old system to enter their weekly job search activity to be eligible for benefits that week. So they sent us a request of why we hadn't submitted them. With Mr. Howard guiding us we crafted a response explaining the shortcoming of the new system. That seemed to get someone's attention because soon after they updated it to allow us to submit. With Mr. Howard again providing guidance, this time on entering this information, DUA sent payments within days. Nearly three years from filing the claim to receiving benefits. It would not have been possible without the support of Mr. Howard and the folks at Bonville.
