I had a favorable QME from my employer's doctor (Macys Union Sq.) but Mike Gerson still managed to lose my case or worse... sold me out! He did virtually NOTHING to help me, including allowing my employer's attorney (Melanie Ogren from Hanna Brophy) to waste most of the time talking about unrelated matters. He made no effort to go after the companies 3 witnesses who all lied in their depositions. Two of them broke down after simple soft-ball questioning but instead of going after them, he asked no follow up questions... letting them off the hook. The third and most important witness, my boss who was harassing me... Gerson allowed to leave without testifying. The most important witness... my boss... my harrasser! Gerson told the presiding judge (Judge Duncan) "No questions Your Honor". With this, attorney Melanie Ogren & my harassing boss got up and literally 'ran out' of the room! I looked at what was supposed to be my attorney in disbelief... at which point Gerson said "We weren't going to get anything from him anyway"...??? Later, I found out that I lost the case on my own! Gerson didn't even bother to tell me! I had to file a Petition For Reconsideration on my own. It was if he was waiting for the 30 day window to file an appeal to come and go. To this day I am convinced that Mike Gerson, a managing partner at this largest Workers Compensation firm in the bay area sold me out to Hanna Brophy... a powerful law firm that represents large corporations. Hanna Brophy wins by replacing sitting judges with their own & buy buying off disreputable attorneys like Mike Gerson.

Very rude and just gives a shit about the money they make after a case. If it’s not worth it they don’t care to help. They act very cutthroat and snobbish. They don’t care for the people just the money to pay their bills.

I signed papers, was taken as a client. I couldn't contact the firm, couldn't send them messages. After I called 5 times I called the main number and complained. They reprimanded me for not leaving a voicemail as if this isn't 2024 and can't see I called 5 times. I asked to terminate the contract after I seen the level of professionalism. Beware of this place. They only want your signature then they won't do a damn thing to help you.

I am very disappointed. My union boss recommended this firm to me and for a month they have been calling me to attend to my case and now they don't understand me.

Long story short, injured on the job with torn bicept, recieved surgery which completely disfigured my arm with about 60% use of my bicept. Three years go by from injury to settle with maybe 3 times of contact from attorney, no discussions of any information of where my case is going or where it could go. I walk away with basically half an arm and nothing to show for it. Thanks for fighting me
