Let me keep this simple. Stop looking for lawyers and call Brad Thompson. I received a very questionable reckless driving charge. I live in New York state and he helped me to navigate through the process. He did an standing job for me. You will find him to be personable and very easy to deal with.

I have had better help from a kids lemonade stand!!! Hired Brad for a custody hearing, months in advance, with a request for a continuance. Would you believe with all the time we had, he did not even meet me once before court. He had no idea what I wanted for custody, and didn't do the research you pay an attorney for, He was clueless and when we went into court it showed. No idea why he thinks he is a custody attorney!!!! I actually received less then the standard custody they issue. Man had the nerve to say, "well at least we got something" Hands down folks, I would have done better without him, at least then I wouldn't have a $3000 bill for someone to do absolutely nothing. Brad when your "suit" has draw strings like sweat pants, that's just a huge sign man. If I could sue you to get my money back, I would in a heartbeat. I mean my court date was back in Dec of 2022, and they still have not had my child support set up. I am gonna owe thousands in arrears because this law professional is beyond unprofessional. I demand a Refund Brad!!!!

I used Mr. Thompson for defense against some neighbors of mine a year and some change ago. This guy is as disingenuous as they come, do not spend your money here. I paid this man $1700 cash as a retainer, for him to quite literally not say a single word in my defense in court. I ended up going to jail for 2.5 months after this, and Mr. Thompson told me that if i wanted to appeal it would be $1600 additional for his fees. In my opinion should be dis-barred for basically stealing $1700 from me for doing literally no work. DON'T BRING YOUR MONEY HERE.

The guy is a good lawyer, but I've called numerous times, and have left my contact info but I never get a returned call. It seems unprofessional to me.

Brad is one of the best attorneys in Roanoke. He helped me resolve a difficult custody case that took time. I was able to relocate so I can provide a better future for my children and myself. Given the opportunity I would have hired someone different. His communication skills are atrocious. He purposely delays sending in needed paperwork to the court, and when asked why it took so long there is no response. He expects his clients to know the law, and provide all information to him without being asked. Also, don't expect your case to be a priority unless you are pestering him. And when confronted with these behaviors, he will turn it around on you and make it your fault. If I could I would get a refund on these "services". The only positive I can say, and why he got 2 stars instead of 1, is that my case was finally concluded in my favor. Good luck if you hire him, hopefully your experience is better than mine.
