1 Star – Would Not Let Me Ruin My Life. After interviewing a handful of attorneys, by asking, "If you were headed through divorce, who would you hire?" I concluded Ashley's decision to take me on as absolutely terrible. I came to Ashley hoping to escalate my divorce into a full-blown war. I wanted to win every single point, regardless of how ridiculous it was. Unfortunately, Ashley was alarmingly calm and professional. She refused to let me hide income, delay proceedings, or turn my case into a revenge campaign. Instead, she insisted we focus on resolving things fairly and making rational decisions. She even suggested I consider what was best for the long-term. Unbelievable. Worst of all, Ashley responds quickly to emails and phone calls. I couldn’t even enjoy a proper meltdown without receiving a logical, well-reasoned reply that ruined all my plans. If you’re looking for an attorney who will tell you exactly what you want to hear – look elsewhere. But if you accidentally hire her, just know you’re about to get someone who actually knows what they’re doing and cares about your case. 1/5 Stars – Too good at her job.

Good Outcome.

I would recommend Ashley for family law issues. I hadn’t had to deal with custody things through an attorney for 12+ years but knew she was on my side and would stick up for me to get done what was fair for everyone. Often times people get stuck with what they need and not what’s best for their kids, I can say that we came up with something that we will try for my young one and if things don’t work after some time then we will revisit the drawing board. Hopefully not with attorneys but if I ever need one, I’ll be calling Ashley to know I’m in good hands. Through out the entire process she was great at communicating via email. I did see someone’s review that mentioned not talking on the phone etc. from my perspective I would prefer email too so I can look back at a conversation and there’s no chance for confusion. **Update** Still so grateful for Ashley Marelius! Went through more court stuff late last year / early 2023. Thank you for always having us and our kids at heart!

Highly recommend Ashley Marelius, Ruby and company. I had to change lawyers because the 1st one was noncommunicative. Ashley called me back the same day I called her. I knew she was going to be great. She walked with me through probably the hardest 18 months I've ever been through. Her knowledge, patience and resources helped find our way through a labyrinth of having to submit subpoenas to find hidden assets, secure a qualified skilled forensic accountant, and through all that and more she stayed in touch with me to put me at ease, was very polite to opposing counsel, and kept everyone level headed. She knows her stuff.

The trials and tribulations of my divorce (15 year marriage, 19 year relationship, 1 minor child, joint house and vehicles) have been intense and confusing. In a rather bewildering time in my life, Ashley was there to give me honest answers, legal ramifications, feasibility, protections and encouragement. She has found a way to balance professionalism and human empathy in a way that I find admirable and immensely helpful.
