Since I picked up my court papers from this office location I was asked to review this office by Google. I also have almost 3 Million views on Google for reviews. I'll just write about my own experience with her from the stand since she was not my attorney. At first I was nervous. Then someone reminded me of something amazing, and it helped me all the way though my time on the stand. Prayer is powerful and God is good!! I took a deep breathe, slowed down, and answered each thing she asked. If I didn't understand I would ask her to repeat it , or explain it. She was kind and did that for me. At that point, Briar wasn't as intimidating as I expected. The hype of going against her was a bit of a joke honestly. I thought she would be this extremely business like professional. She came in looking like the girl on legally blonde with all the pink, and wearing clothes that seemed to be about 2 sizes too big. In his gallery, some people couldn't help but laugh. I was entertained all day to say the least. She did not seem well organized as she kept skipping around on questions. My ADHD was like a bouncy ball trying to keep up with her questions. Some were even repetitive. At one point, I had a staring contest with someone from his gallery that was trying to intimidate me. I had to ask her to repeat the question. 😂 Again, she did. The judge was patient and very kind with all involved. It was a very long day. Now let's get to the deeper issue(s) I had with Briar. In court, Briar brought up the fact I advocate heavily, and with passion, for kids with special needs in schools as a problem. She brought up my speaking to the school board as "yelling". What she was referring to is on video, but she didnt play that part. She only mentioned the video to the judge to make me look bad. On the video, which she didn't mention this part to the judge, I had called out Robyn Cramner from CISD for laughing about a students suicide attempt. I have two issues with this- One, why would Briar not want someone to stand up for a minor child in crisis who couldn't do it themselves? A child who was on a 504, multiple diagnostic issues, and needed someone to stand up for their advocacy. I find that odd that a friend of the courts wouldn't want that for kids. Two, that video being used at any point of questioning should have been disclosed in the discovery phase, but was not to my knowledge. I will continue to use the training I received from Region 16, The Pen Project, and other places. I will continue advocacy for kids with special needs in all the public school districts of Texas as needed. Meanwhile, I hope that one day schools and others learn to respect those who advocate for the least of these. After all that's what the Bible commands us to do. 🩷🩷🩷

I’d like to start off by saying this review is long overdue. When I originally called in 2022, the initial consultation was about 4-6 weeks out. I was a bit worried & hesitant to wait that long, I’m glad I made the decision to wait. I could not imagine my case being handled by another attorney. Ms.Wilcox & her team work extremely hard to get things done. Not one time did we meet in person or have a phone conversation & was told, I’ll get back with you, she’s always had a game plan and straightforward answers, she’s real, doesn’t sugar coat things. Briar handled my case with professionalism and honesty. I’m thankful for the hard work she’s done along with her staff. My case was won along with the appeals that my ex husband filed. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family.

Response from owner

Thank you Yvonne. :)

I’ve waited several months before making this review pending the outcome of our case. I originally asked for Briar to take our case. However, at the time her case load was full and our consultation was done with Audrey Sirmon. My husband(respondent) was going back to court for a child support modification. We were looking to pay an additional $1100 a month per the Texas child support guidelines. Anytime we asked a question during the consultation, Audrey was just simply state “There is already a stipulation for that in your current order.” Yes we know what the current order says we are here for a MODIFICATION!! So very frustrating to be brushed off. Anyways, long story short, we ended up going with Abbott Law WHO IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and we won our case. I hate to leave a low star review because I hear great things about Briar. But Audrey however was very disappointing.

Response from owner

Abbott is great lawyer - glad it worked out for you.

Briar is a rare breed. She is simultaneously very skilled at being a lawyer, but also seems to genuinely care for her clients. I have also been very pleased with Mike Sharpee and Laura Copp in her firm. Hire any of them. You won't regret it!

Response from owner

Thank you Patrick!

left voicemails, emails and rang a few times. No return calls, emails or anything. Crickets. Good other reviews but it's unclear whether they're even in business any longer.

Would rate lower if possible. $450 due just to sit down. $267 to cancel it for "services rendered". I've never even sat down with these people. Predatory and exactly why lawyers have a bad reputation.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Briar is fierce and assertive. After being served unexpectedly, Briar took on the case and fought for the best interest of the children with a positive outcome. Extremely knowledgeable and skilled- highly recommend.

Response from owner

Thank you Autumn!

From Ms. Wilcox to the paralegals and support staff, they were attentive from the very beginning. Felt like they cared about the people involved and not just the outcome. However, I will say, I know that if you need a pit bull to fight for you, but one that is also caring, and knowledgeable about family law and the courts in Randall and Potter, Briar Wilcox would be my go to no matter what. I would give 10 stars.

Response from owner

Thank you Julie.

I called and lady hung up on me that's why I gave one star.

Response from owner

We take professionalism very seriously in this office. I highly doubt anyone in this office would have hung up on anyone.
