I rewrote this review multiple times because I wanted it to convey just how amazing and exceptional it was to have John Brickhouse represent me in my workers’ compensation injury. I had multiple phone calls and meetings with different attorneys before and after John to make sure I had the right person for my case. Each attorney’s office I called, I spoke to multiple different people telling my story over and over before getting a return phone call from the lawyer. When I met with attorneys, they were pushing papers in front of me to sign before I left the office. John is nothing like that. He doesn’t take just any case. He is selective in that he knows you have a case, one that he believes in, and one that he can win. When I called John for the first time we spoke for an hour. He talked to me like I was a person not another potential client. He didn’t give me some huge sales pitch, didn’t tell me he was the best of the best, didn’t email papers over before we got off the phone. John told me who he was as a person and as a lawyer. Then he went on to tell me his thoughts about my case and that even if I didn’t hire him, I definitely needed an attorney. I didn’t feel pressured to make a decision that day, in fact, John told me to think about it. I didn’t need to think about it, I already knew the moment I got off the phone that John was the attorney for me. John is confident and isn’t intimidated by big job corporations or law offices. When working with workers’ compensation, scheduling doctor appointments can take up to a month or more to get proper approvals and coordinated appointments, but after hiring John requesting appointments was easy and seemed to go quicker. Each time I called John, I was able to speak to him directly, each text or e-mail I sent him he responded to promptly. It’s hard to comprehend just how important these little things are until you are in pain and need help. John worked hard with the doctors I had, got me second opinions, and researched treatment options to make sure I got the best care and desired outcome. When facing insurance companies and their lawyers they look at the here and now situation. They want to close your case as quickly as possible. I needed treatment then and knew I would face ongoing treatment in the future. Jon understood that, he truly looks out for his clients, he treats them like people (not another case).
