Honestly, I didn't have a good experience as a Spanish speaker. I requested a consultation for an expungement/sealing. The lawyer was very kind and explained things very well, but he had a translator to help me understand what he was saying, and she was terrible at Spanish. She translated what the lawyer was saying, very kindly, but her Spanish was so bad that I didn't understand anything he was trying to tell me. Also, when I wanted to tell the lawyer something, she didn't relay everything I said. She didn't even understand me properly. I paid $150 for the consultation, and I really didn't understand the process required for my case. Even the lawyer recommended I look for other lawyers because he knew I hadn't understood correctly. I feel like I wasted my money because of his Spanish translator who didn't speak Spanish well. I gave them two stars because the lawyer was very kind, and the person who helped me when I made the appointment was also very kind. My recommendation, as someone whose first language is Spanish, is to make sure that the person translating for Hispanic people speaks Spanish very well because I feel like I wasted my money since I couldn't understand absolutely anything the lady was translating.

Mr. Baez is your go to attorney in his field of practice. A family member had relatively small situation that got a little complicated. The family member was able to speak to him the same day after initiating a phone call. When does that happen anymore? Mr. Baez was attentive and never relented throughout the course of his clients case. He was able to get the case dismissed in relatively short order. He is a compassionate listener and a pointed questioner. His advice was on point and direct. All very important skills for an incredibly competent attorney. Honestly, if you ever need a divorce lawyer I highly recommend Jesse Baez. He is expensive but he is worth the amount I paid. When I went to my consultation to retain Jesse I was given a call by my sister telling me my ex husband filed the divorce first. I was a hot mess and very emotional during the consultation. Jesse was very patient and understanding through the whole consultation. After I had retained him. He did a very thorough job going back and forth with my ex husbands lawyer. My situation is not as bad as others, but I would recommend him for anyone going through a tough time. Communication is always key for me during stressful times and Jesse and his Legal Assistant nailed it.

(Our only gripe was with the recommended private investigator, whose report could have been pulled from TruthFinder and public records for a fraction of the cost.) I can't get them to provide me their rates for a case their websites says they handle all the time. They want me to pay $300 for a consolation first. Firms like this make it impossible to find a good lawyer, each one requiring you to pay a fee before finding out their rates.
