Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional, Disorganized, and Unhelpful I Delmarys Soto as former client hired Brooks Law Firm in Winter Haven to help with my Social Security disability claim, but my experience with them was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I have severe CIDP neuropathy, which has caused significant foot drop, weakness in my hands and legs, and requires me to use braces, a walker, and a cane for mobility. This condition makes daily life very challenging, and I was seeking professional guidance to help me navigate the Social Security process. My assigned case manager, Jenniffer Batista, was the biggest issue. She frequently spoke to me in a dismissive and abrupt manner, often cutting me off or responding impatiently when I asked legitimate questions about my case. She only reached out when they needed something from me, rather than providing guidance or updates proactively. On multiple occasions, she claimed she had not received documents I had already sent via email, forcing me to repeatedly resend important paperwork. When I checked with the main office, it was confirmed that all documents had been received correctly. Additionally, she sent me a function report in Spanish instead of English, which caused unnecessary confusion and doubled my workload. My daughter also tried reporting these problems to the person in charge Narissa, but no one ever followed up or addressed our concerns. This lack of accountability, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made an already stressful process far more difficult. After all of this, my reconsideration appeal was denied. I sought their help because of good reviews, but my experience was completely the opposite. I cannot, recommend Brooks Law Firm to anyone.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Service and Unprofessional Conduct We hired Brooks Law Firm in Winter Haven to help my mom with her Social Security disability claim because of their positive reviews, but our experience was extremely disappointing. My mom Delmarys Soto has had CIDP neuropathy for over three years, with severe foot drop, a gait speed test score of 7, and requires physical therapy several days a week for her hands and legs. She also has chronic asthma and COPD, CKD stage 3B, type 2 diabetes, chronic hypertension related to CKD, anemia requiring regular monitoring and transfusions, and diabetic retinopathy that needs frequent oversight. She relies on braces, walkers, and canes to get around. How can a person with this level of disability realistically work? While the rest of the staff was generally okay, our main issue was with Jenniffer Batista, the case manager. She was rude and cutting to my mom whenever she called with questions, only reached out when they needed something, sent a function report in Spanish instead of English causing extra work, provided incorrect contact information, and never sat down with us to organize a proper case. I even had proof that I sent documents to her over email, but she repeatedly told my mom they were never sent. When I called the main office, they confirmed the documents had been received. I reported these issues, but the person in charge never reached out to address them. Ultimately, my mom’s reconsideration appeal was denied, leaving us frustrated and disappointed. We sought their help based on good reviews, but our experience did not reflect that. We cannot recommend Brooks Law Firm based on our experience.

There's not enough room on this page to say all the good things about this law firm. My Mother and I filled the forms out for my disability and we were turned down. So, then I turned to Brooks law group to try to help me. It was no surprise they won my case even though it was a battle. They knew how bad my back was messed up by the X-rays and by the reports and they really pulled through for me. When they took over my case and they filed an appeal that appeal was turned down. They turned around and didn't give up and filed another appeal and it was turned down but they still didn't give up. They filed another appeal and then I had to go to court. After court, because I was honest and told the truth and because my lawyers were so good at what they do, I won my case. I have nothing but love for this law firm. They have been so good to me and treated me like family. So, to all the lawyers, attorneys, paralegals, secretaries or anybody that works for this law group, thank you so much for everything you've done for me. And I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart.
