Avoid at all costs. This firm has admitted fault in my family's custody case, offered to deep dive into our case file and billing blunders, then completely ghosted. They failed to return the $1.4k+ leftover in our trust after abandoning our case more than 3 months ago (Oct 2025), now requiring filing with the NC Bar Fee Dispute Resolution program. Adam Bull, Anna Bowkett, and Abbey Forde have each personally been unable to account for their actions thus far. I had a very complicated separation and divorce situation. Chris, Anna and Elizabeth were all amazing. When I first called the firm Chris called me back within 24 hours and I had my consultation that week. He took time with me and listened to my concerns. He and his team have went above and beyond for me. When I would call in with questions his assistant Amy was always helpful. She always responded to me in a timely manner. She was a blessing during our custody/visitation cases, it was such a stressful time but having an attorney like Anna takes away so much of the burden of worrying. Adam Bull helped me with a difficult and urgent legal situation on short notice. He returned my initial call promptly. He then made multiple calls on my behalf well after "normal business hours" and timely reported back to me regarding his related findings. His experience and contacts in the Asheville area were of great benefit in working though the matter, and he was more than competitive in his billing for services. He is a man of his word.

I would steer clear of this law firm if you want to spend your money wisely and have results you desire. Specifically, my experience with Elizabeth Radnothy left much to be desired during the most important period of my children's life. She is new to family law, and her inexperience is on full display. That does not excuse the lack of detail she displays throughout the case. She consistently would mix up cases, get information wrong, forget to send or forward emails, and generally displayed a lack of aptitude when it came to practicing family law. I made her aware of my displeasure with these facts and her response was to deflect and try to place blame on her client. She could not handle this feedback and dropped me as a client in the middle of my case with literally 0 communication or notice, other then a letter I received in the mail. This is what paying Bull & Reinhardt $10,400 over the course of 6 months gets you for family law. Save yourself and family from this stress and seek counsel elsewhere.

UPDATED REVIEW: If I could leave zero stars, I would. After being kept from my 4 year old daughter for four months, I hired Adam Bull with the hope of strong representation. Instead, I was met with minimal effort, poor communication, and disappointing results. Despite a hefty retainer and being billed $425 an hour, I did nearly all of the legwork myself while his firm displayed disorganized record-keeping and lack of follow-through. My concerns were dismissed, my expectations were repeatedly tempered, and I was gaslit into believing I should be grateful for the bare minimum. While Mr. Bull may consider my case a “win,” it was not a win for my family. My daughter needed an advocate; what we got was someone who collected fees and left me carrying the entire burden of my case. If you are a parent fighting for your child, I strongly caution you against entrusting your family’s future to this attorney or his firm. Ultimately, I retained new counsel, and through their efforts I am now the primary physical custodian of my daughter and the final decision maker on all major non-emergency decisions—as I always should have been. What a waste of time and money. Shame on you and your firm.

Attorney Abbey Forde was strategic and decisive in handling a very complex custody case for us. Her experience and sound judgment was so valuable throughout. She was extremely considerate and always responsive to our many calls, texts and emails. Ms. Forde was realistic about our chances to prevail, and was thorough and a consummate professional in sometimes highly emotional circumstances.
