Let me first start by saying when I was first introduced to Burgess and Christensen I was treated with such kindness and warm respect it was very nice to know that we still have some wonderful people in our world. The first person I spoke with was Mrs.Alice she was so polite and kind and very very knowledgeable and helpful through every question or concern that I had every time I felt as though I was losing my mind going through this painful process being that I have never been through it before age 62 it was very discouraging and felt like the end of the world was coming down on me through my process I had some severe injuries but through all of that every time I reached out to Miss Alice Burgess and Christensen she may show that she did her best to first to always greet me polite and what a happy sounding voice of any question or concern I had that if she didn't know she would find out and reach back out to me as soon as possible. Also there was a young lady I think I can't remember her name and I apologize that works the front desk answering the phones she did a wonderful job of always directing me in the right direction to have someone contact me as soon as possible. In the end attorney Christensen reached out to me we got to a victory together and she gave me all the information that I needed to know to move forward I wish her and her company and her family many blessings and wellness in their future thank you for everything the family of Burgess and Christensen 🤗💯💯

Excellent service and completion of a favorable approval for my SSN disability

Her kindness turned what could have been a stressful process into one filled with reassurance and confidence. Beware. They do nothing to win your case. They will make you gather all your information for getting medical records and ask for $100 and fill out the SS application but they do nothing for getting medical records which are supposed to be sent in with the application and clearly states that on the application. Why ask for previous doctors if you’re not going to request medical records which is what SS uses to review your case? If you ask them about forms SS asks you to complete they don’t help you at all they just whine their answers to you. They call you every once in a while to update your case and say they are checking on your case. When I actually requested a breakdown of everything they did on my case it was a pathetic excuse for record keeping. As simple as “called SS office to check on status”, “LM to check on status”, “faxed documents to adjudicator”. After receiving first denial which is common it gives you a report of what they used to determine that decision. That’s when I found out the attorney never pulled any records. I spoke with Burgess and her excuse was Social Security can pull records in minutes if they want them. I told her that’s not their job and they aren’t going to do that. They are supposed to be sent with the application and it literally says that on the application. She reluctantly agreed and I asked her how are we going to make sure my records get sent and that the adjudicator gets all these records with the appeals process, she said her staff would check every month if needed. Their office had a good 2 years to pull every medical record possible cause SS was so back logged with Covid. During the appeal I printed all my office visits, my old office visits that went back to when I had to stop working. I highlighted all the pertinent information, sent it to the attorney and told them to get it to the adjudicator. The attorneys office got NO records themselves. They did NOTHING to win my case. I won on appeal. I got my own medical records, highlighted them, got them to the attorneys office and told them to get to adjudicator. So I basically won my own case. And again when asked for breakdown of exactly what they did for me it was really nothing. They couldn’t even keep details on what they did because it wasn’t anything significant. Also, beware of the contract you sign. You may sign for one figure but if SS changes their fee structure they will try to get the higher figure out of you. It’s not written that way and they don’t explain it that way. I told Burgess this. She first told me that they have no idea when they are going to make changes to the fee structure. But she later slipped up in the conversation and said they are about ready to change it again. What they depend on is people not understanding much so they can take advantage of them. I’m not one of those people and I didn’t appreciate being screwed by this firm by not doing what they were supposed to do, not even the bare minimum and then getting snotty about it. Unfortunately SS didn’t take enough out of my back pay to pay the attorney, although what they did originally pay them is all they were worth for as little they did. But I was happy on the appeal that they didn’t get the ridiculous amount they felt they were owed. But then when I get the appeal letter and I made the call to the attorney to arrange paying it back and Monique and I agreed on the dates of repayment and the first date came and went and they never reached out to me or sent the email link and finally did about 2 weeks later I immediately paid it. Then they decided to go back to original payment schedule and I said now it will need to be on the new schedule that you made and that’s when I’ll be paying. Not 3 weeks after the last payment. Monique calls and starts yelling at me and not even allowing me to speak and says she will just call SS. This office is the most unprofessional office I’ve ever dealt with for anything. I guess that’s why they have bad reviews for working their as well. STAY CLEAR. zero stars is too much. I will be filing other complaints as well.

I will say that even when I gave up on myself and this firm didn't give up on me. I am very appreciative and Thankful for the Burgess firm the best atty I've ever had.
