No one should take on the IRS alone, and speaking with Russ Haynes at Haynes Tax Law about your specific issue, is the first place, I recommend too start. I had an accountant that did not do a wonderful job with my taxes. As a result the IRS had some questions. I called Russ and he assured me he could resolve the issue. And he did, the issue was resolved a new return was filed and all is well. Russ is a straight shooter, honest and a down to business guy. He went above and beyond the call of duty for me.
