Mr. Barnette is a top-notch lawyer. From my initial consultation with him to the final stages of my divorce proceedings his knowledge and expertise was instrumental in protecting my interest. His knowledge, experience and work ethic helped me navigate this life changing event. His staff is phenomenal also. Always kept me informed or assisted me when I needed. He is a man of his word and cares for his clients and their best interest.

Astronomical $5,000 retainer fee. Also requests thousands more for a simple divorce with no property or assets. He charges $250 an hour, and supposedly spends hours on correspondence with you and the opposing party's attorney and filing. He speaks very arrogantly and in the weakest moments of my life I felt like he took advantage of it.. I would not recommend this attorney because he simply does not truly care about you, your family or situation, he just wants to empty your pocket to fill his.

I retained Michael for an interstate family case. He was always easy to speak with and asked all the right questions to get a full picture of the situation. Michael was always responsive and available by email or phone at basically any time. Michael was able to work with my attorney in another state to resolve my case exactly the way I had hoped for. Mr. Barnett is awesome he has a lot of empathy I talk to him 30 minutes I feltl very comfortable talking to him I explained to him that I have no funds and he was very open of what I can do I feel very confident when I’m ready for his help he will be awesome he asked all the right questions and was very honest with me about my pending divorce

Originally I went in to speak with his partner but was referred to Michael due to the location of the court issues. Expensive? Yes. But what lawyer isn't? Everyone in the area as well as Orlando was around the same cost, so then it became a hunt for quality. Quality is what I freaking found! Through my divorce Michael brought reality to light. The law sucks and it's not a justice system. It's a legal game. I was fortunate enough to hire an insightful professional who did actually care. He had a very calm, very non-reactive demeanor which was perfect because it expressed patience and an unwavering disposition towards my opposing lawyer who was actively trying to completely screw me over. Michael Barnette was nothing but kind, patience, truthful (even if blunt. Which is necessary because the law doesn't care. So you're gonna hear fact and nothing else from him, especially with him being on your side) and at heart a good person. Don't forget, this IS a business but at least it's a business where good people are involved. I owe them a debt for their work and diligence that money cannot pay. And I will hold a thankfulness for what they've done for me forever. I would absolutely be happy to have them work with me in the future and vice versa, I just hope and pray I don't need to.
