This guy will say he can do anything to get your money. Take my warning and run. Do not hire this guy, unless you want someone who wont return your calls, can’t file paper correctly, can’t act professional, and honestly just down right the worst lawyer I’ve ever met. I think Maine in general has a lot of terrible lawyers. But this guy is definitely the icing on the cake. Make sure you do your research before you hire him. I’m sure you’ll find some stuff.

Our family had a number of individual, but contiguous land parcels that we wanted to consolidate into a single parcel in an attempt to reduce our property tax burden. We had originally been told by the tax assessor that we would need to go through some expensive exercises to accomplish this. Mr. Cabot took the time to listen to our issue, and proposed a very cost effective solution of consolidating the individual parcel deeds into one using his firms services. After receiving a quote for services, we agreed to have Cabot Legal Services perform our deed consolidation. We have had bad experiences in the past with complicated land sales and right-of-way issues that always ended up costing significantly more than we were told by the attorney's helping us with those issues, so I was skeptical about the quote provided being the actual costs that we would be charged. I know that a significant amount of work went into our deed consolidation by Cabot Legal Services, but when the legal services were complete we were billed the amount quoted. In addition, a few months later when we received the property tax bill it was significantly reduced as expected. We didn't have to contact the town/county to confirm that the deed consolidation was properly filed, because Cabot Legal Services had done everything proper and correct. Thank you, Cabot Legal Services.
