About 1.5 years ago I was involved in a car accident. A driver hit me while I was in my car stopped at a red light. Her car was totaled and mine had a lot of damage due to being hit from the rear and also being pushed into the car in front of me. Within a few days after the accident, the driver’s insurance company began contacting me to settle immediately for a nominal sum. However, I was experiencing back pain and indeed, ended up requiring major back surgery. About 3 weeks after the accident I contacted Caputo & Van Der Walde, LLP (referred to me by a “friend of a friend”) as I was concerned about the medical costs. From the very start, Paul Caputo, and his team, Shawn Smith and Corene Abrego, treated me with professionalism, respect, kindness, compassion, generosity, and humor.
