My experience with Stephen Paul Carrigan was devastating and life-altering. In my view, his lack of preparation and failure to act promptly put my children at risk and ultimately resulted in my prolonged separation from them. Despite nearly a year passing after our initial consultation, he never filed for temporary orders on my behalf. Instead of taking even minimal time to understand the judges in my county or develop a strategic plan, I was given advice that severely harmed my case. When the consequences of that advice materialized, Mr. Carrigan abruptly withdrew rather than attempting to correct or repair the damage. What was most alarming is that I later learned he was already on probation related to malpractice matters (again) - information that was never disclosed to me, despite legal and ethical obligations to do so. I am a former full-time stay-at-home mother, a college-educated teacher, and a sober, stable parent. My children are distraught at being separated from me for months beginning in July 2025. Fortunately, my new attorney was able to secure visitation relatively quickly—something I believe should have happened much sooner had my case been handled competently from the start. I would not recommend this attorney to any parent facing a custody dispute.

After fighting with an insurance company for months on getting my house fixed after a flood, I decided to leave the fight to the professionals.
