Spouse seeking help for wrongful termination case was rejected without consultation completed form sent by Leah Roper. Spouse has proof of wrongful termination still yet no help from this office very disappointing. No recommendations offered.

I contacted Center for Employment Law seeking help with a workplace issue. Unfortunately, my experience during the initial phone call was very disappointing. The woman I spoke with was dismissive and spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if I were a child, rather than someone seeking legal guidance during a stressful situation. When I offered my work email as a point of contact, instead of explaining concerns professionally, she responded in a way that felt judgmental and unhelpful. I understand that not every firm can take every case, but how a potential client is treated during the first point of contact matters. I did not feel respected or supported, and I ultimately felt discouraged from seeking help through this firm.

I came to them presenting with what I believed was an airtight case for wrongful termination and was rejected out of hand without even a consultation. Very disappointing indeed.

Response from owner

We're sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. Through our consultation process, we consider many factors when identifying which cases we can be a great resource for. Every case is unique, and we offer recommendations for other resources if we do not feel we're a great fit to take on a case. We wish you the best.

I contacted Leah Roper to help negotiate a one-sided severance agreement, and she did an excellent job working with the outside law firm, getting some terms relaxed/eliminated and payout substantially increased. I was very impressed with her knowledge and negotiating skills. and highy recommend her.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. They wouldn't know a good case if it slapped them in the face

It has been a good experience with with D. Colby Addison, and Leah Roper. They were very kind, and helpful in guiding me through a very difficult situation. Leah helped me make an educated decision based on the best possible outcome of my case.Thank you for all of the assistance you have given. It has been much appreciated.

We appreciated the free consultation to answer some of our questions. I just wish the receptionist would have told me that the lawyer would only talk with my husband...and that it would be 2 hours long. I have a bad back and it was excruciating sitting so long.

Response from owner

Thank you for the feedback.
