Chase Morinaka became my probate attorney several months after my husband suddenly didn’t wake up one morning. He guided me and instructed me on tasks that I needed to complete in order for the process to run smooth. Mostly I was on autopilot taking care of task that were of immediate urgency. Chase held my hand through a lot of it, and with the help of some friends, maneuver through the mountains of paperwork that my husband left behind, including the lack of a will which made things very complicated. It took about 18 months to complete the probate process only because my thinking processes weren’t sharp, but it was completed and all of this is behind me now as I go forward. Thank you, Chase for all that you do to get grieving families through such a difficult event.

My husband passed away much earlier than we ever thought and because of this, he had not finalized his will. This left our home and car in his name. Needless to say, I was desperate to find a good and affordable probate attorney. Luckily, I found Chase Morinaka. Chase came to my home, friendly and professional from the beginning. He got all the information he needed and we were set for this long process. Chase regularly kept me in the loop through phone calls and emails. Documents needing my signature were done through DocuSign. Finally, without ever having to go to his office, everything was completed and Probate Administration was closed. I can't say how much I appreciated everything Chase and his team did for me. I highly recommend them.

I went through, I think, 13 attorneys before I found Chase. I had actually contacted his partner and when he didn’t respond, Chase stepped in (which is why you have partners). Most attorneys were either not getting back to me or emailing back with incomplete answers. Chase was my saving grace; he was the last lawyer to get in touch with me. Chase sat with me on the phone for a good half hour explaining, in detail, what happened. His knowledge was beyond spectacular. I had skimmed his bio before I called for our initial consult, but went back just now to review: In addition to his stellar academic record, Chase holds a Black Belt in martial arts. And if you know anything about the systems and traditions of this form of combat, you understand that the guiding philosophy is cultivating respect, discipline and mindfulness. Chase is awesome! My husband and I had to do our Wills and Medical Directives. We had put off this task off for a few years. We decided to go with Chase because he is very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and personable. Chase Morinaka was a beacon of hope to me at a time when my options appeared limited, and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed nearly impossible. I had such a confusing and odd case, that no other attorney wanted to deal with. I had called maybe 30 other attorneys in the Portland area, and they all turned me down because it was a really difficult situation. My ex was hiding in our old home and hiding from everyone (including the law) and I could not get him out of the home which I owned with him at the time.
