I was referred to this firm from Hill and Ponton after they wouldn't represent me for my VA claims. CC&K won't either. I believe they're looking for easy street and I don't represent an easy paycheck because I'm an Air National Guard veteran with over 40 years. I am full time as a technician so the deck is stacked against us already. Thankfully, on my own, I have gotten a decent rating, but the VA inexplicably denied my right knee despite being on active duty orders and having medical documentation. Maybe they can help you, but they turned their nose up at me.

Am absolute scam of a service. Was looking into them to possibly use them for my VA Claim but they did not ever send the original paperwork and then called me several times about completing it. The day they finally sent me an email they called and said I was a candidate. I never even sent back their paperwork. Definitely not a business that is FOR the Veteran. Just out for their $

Check Yelp and Google Before You Hire CCK Law (Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick) Check the real reviews before hiring them. In my opinion, CCK Law doesn’t care about veterans—only money. I hired them just to write a Higher-Level Review letter for the VA. They took weeks to order my records and said it would take months to review them. I kept telling them, all I need is that letter. They ignored me until I tried to fire them. Only then did they finally say, “Okay, we’ll write it.” After months of delay, they finally did—and four days later my VA claim was approved. They charged me thousands for ordering records and writing one letter. No review, no advocacy, nothing. I’m not the only one—check Yelp and Google. In my opinion, they’re dishonest, unhelpful, and take advantage of veterans. I don’t know how they sleep at night.

They definitely kept me informed about how the VA was working my case They kept going until the case was completed. When I had a question one member of the team always answered within usually as soon as they get the message. Also they informed me when the VA was working on my appeals. Sent me an email when it was necessary. Didn't do anything without my permission. They don't give up on you. They also call me back when something comes up. Usually within hours. Or a day. Very good people to help you with claims

Five stars because 10 were not a choice. They are wonderful. They do not give up on you. After 15 years of fighting the VA they finally got me my 100%. Words can't express my thanks to them.

When my husband passed away, I became the surrogate for his VA disability case. This firm, CCK, was extremely helpful and professional in handling my case. I tried working with the VA on my own steam after my husband, a Vietnam War combat veteran, passed away in 2014. That was a complete waste of time, and I was treated with anything but dignity. The local VA was somewhat helpful, but the VA Evidence Center in Wisconsin were slow in responding, did not fully vet the information provided, and often gave conflicting responses which the VA Judge(s) had to return for more evidence. At one point, I thought, "Is this a racial thing?" After his review went all the way to the Bureau in Washington, with little to no compassion for his illnesses or me, the DAV put me in touch with CCK. The experience has been daunting, but they never gave up or gave in. They were gracious to me, but strategic with the VA. They persevered even when I thought all efforts were hopeless. Even though the VA is supposed to give the veteran or surviving spouse the 'benefit of the doubt', they did not and repeatedly denied my husband's CLEARLY substantiated claims. He submitted his claims for assistance, starting in 2007, and it was THIS year, yes, 2025 (18 years later) that all was finally resolved. I received limited compensation for several of his claims along the way, but for several others, the answer was repeatedly no. CCK persevered, and I appreciate their work. They stuck with me throughout the ordeal by snail mail, e-mail, and calls with updates, answers, and results! I highly recommend them if you have been staring down the VA barrel for a while; CCK is a sharpshooter, and they have several smoking guns to fight your battle(s). Believe me, you will need a law firm that has lawyers who are competent, feisty, and who won't become battle weary.

I had done extensive research on law firms handling and helping veterans with their claims. CCK was the one that I had chosen for representation. Waste of time

Hello fellow veterans! I tried to get TDIU through the VSO and it seemed impossible, despite 90% rating and a letter from my psychiatrist. Thanks to CCK, I was able to secure a favorable decision. I will warn you, the process takes a lot of time (6 years for me) and it may seem like the end will never arrive, but I believe your best chance is with CCK, if you're actively seeking an increase. Patience is the key. I guarantee when they say when it comes, you will feel instant relief from stress, it's true. However, don't let it be known that you're getting back pay as people will start asking for money. Thank you CCK for sticking through it with me!
