Micheal Paulson quoted my sister and I at $4,000 to handle our dad’s estate after our dad passed away. He had all of the information he needed to give us a proper quote and nothing ever changed along the way. It took him 9 months to complete the estate. It was a simple estate. In the end Mr Paulson sent us a bill for $7,300 without any communication along the way that the fee had changed and without any explanation of why his fee increased. After many emails back and forth about this he finally sent us a list of his fees that were completely not agreeable and lacked any sense. We don’t believe that he was ever keeping organized records of his time spent on our estate- he just guessed. And at $250 per hour for 9 months his guessed time was way off- twice the amount of the original bid that we expected. The way he handled our dads estate was dishonest and heartbreaking. We couldn’t fight him over it because we had no proof of his original quote since it was discussed in person. I would never hire him again and I would not recommend him to anyone. I learned from this experience to get quotes in writing so if you need to take someone like this to court over something this dishonest at least you would have proof to do it.

I was treated in a respectful, professional, and helpful manner while having power of attorney documents prepared for my grandmother. Michael took as much time as I needed to answer all of my questions and concerns. He made a stressful time a little easier, which I greatly appreciated. His office staff were friendly and courteous as well. I would highly recommend him.
