A wonderful event that supports a crucial NEO institution.
I travel the country and I've visited many bar associations, so I can say with some authority that the Cleveland Metro Bar Association is considered to be one of THE leading major city bar associations in the country. This bar association is also particularly welcoming to non-attorneys who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help the bar association fulfill its mission. Want more information on just how to get involved? Just give Chris Schmitt at the CMBA a call.
I am writing this review in regards to one attorney Andy Nunez who is employed by Kisling Nestico And Redick of Toledo Ohio. I have been represented or Under Represented I should say by Andy Nunez since 2023 for 2 ( two ) car accident cases that happened some 40 days apart and which in both cases I was rear ended both times. One at over 40 miles per hour with no breaks and the other the person slammed into the back of my while his feet were on the gas as well and he was on his cellphone. Both men were sited and the second person had another accident he was cited for afterwards. I don't know what happened to make Andy Nunez lie about a voluntary dismissal besides the fact that he was miss representing me to begin with and he never once listened to any of my concerns or suggestions in MY lawsuits against these men. I have brain damage and high blood pressure as well as back pain and neck pain , hip pain and migraine headaches that persists still to this day yet he wanted me to allow the other men's attorney's to low ball me when in all of my medical records show what my condition is after each accident. The accidents happened in 2021. I also have very bad short term memory problems. Each time I called KNR to speak to Andy Nunez he acted as if the lawsuits were still going on and he was still working with me when in fact he was not. The Lawfirm didn't even know what he did because he would never take my calls and kept telling them that he would call me back. He never even spoke to me once about a dismissal of my cases. I only ever told him any time we had to deal with each other due to mediation, or depositions that I wanted to take the cases to trail. My pretrial hearing was canceled and he didn't even tell me that. He never told me anything about a new trial date after the mediation, in fact he lied and told me that I had to wait till they had me see one of their doctors or specialist ( them being the other party or the defense) . There is no way a person like this should be able to do this to a client. He messed with the wrong one and I am filing a grievance with both the Toledo Bar Association and The Cleveland Bar Association. I even told him that the mediator was bias , did not listen to me and was dismissive of me and disrespectful to me. I want Andy Nunez's license to practice revoked effective immediately.
If you have a problem with a lawyer you hired to help you, you can file a grievance that will be reviewed and may be investigated by our Certified Grievance Committee. Grievances against judges must be filed with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel.
The grievance committee is certified by the Board of Professional Conduct of the Supreme Court of Ohio. I attend a forum hosted by The Cleveland Concil on World Affairs on December 5, 2024. The parking deck was convienent, the staff was great, and the facilities the forum was held in was very comfortable. I highly recomend you to participate in the forums that the CCWA host. They are very informative and keep you in the loop of foriegn affairs.
Thank you, Sue! We are so glad to hear your experience at our facility was comfortable and for your recommendation to others to join in future events.
I see its not just me; if you don't have money for lawyer (isn't that part of what they do) you're pretty much screwed. I got one return phone call that told me they couldn't help me....Lawyers don't come cheap i understand that, but it's irritating when 'legal aid' who also don't really help you, refer you to the bar association just for them to also tell you they can't help you. Anyone going to court needs an attorney like what do you do
Hi Andrea, thank you for your review. While we do have many attorneys who are willing to take cases, they are not required to take every case that comes their way. If your hearing date was too close to when you called, most will not feel prepared enough to represent you in court. If you would like, please email communications@clemetrobar.org and we can try to refer you again.
This place right here deserves no stars, I went there to file for a public defender, and I sat down waiting for someone to come up front. Literally sat there for an hour and they came back up front and they said nothing ,while standing there talking to each other about how miserable their relationship is.
Demetrius, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. You can email me at communications@clemetrobar.org if you need assistance.
I don't know what they even do now, can't refer you to lawyer's, can't advise you, so what do they do??? Seriously. I'd love to know incase I get them referred to me again
Hi Sherrie. I’m sorry that you had a bad experience. We can refer you to an attorney through our Lawyer Referral Service although those are paid attorneys. CMBA as an organization does not give legal advice. Call me at 513-309-0127 and I’ll try to help
.
I really needed there help in a case a civil federal courthouse To wait a week for a person to tell me here March 2024 there unfunded and all there student volunteers are swamped in case it made me feel like I had to donate to get no help .I'm paying out of pocket or going self represent. All the referrals lead you pay out of pocket Instead of a volunteer student that could really help . No one went to bat for me.
Hi Tasha, we are sorry that in the past you were not able to get the help you needed with our team. While our Lawyer Referral Service is meant to match you with the best attorney for your situation - we understand that the rates are not always attainable for everyone. The Cleveland Legal Collaborative at CMBA provides affordable legal help for people who fall between free Legal Aid and private firms.

To learn more visit our website here: https://www.clemetrobar.org/?pg=ClevelandLegalCollaborative
Upon arrival no one there to greet me, I walked around to find someone to help me.
Hi Lisa, apologies for the lack of availability in the past. If you were in the office for legal help - our updated in-person hours for the Lawyer Referral Service hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the CMBA office (2nd floor intake desk).
Great space in the heart of downtown for meetings & bar association activities.
We're so glad to host you! Thanks for joining us!
