Are you in capable of returning messages Mr. Blair or even emails? I Have a winning case but you sabotaged my disibility hearing by saying I wanted payment from when I was first diagnosed with A-fib "thats not an exact quote but basically thats what he implied, in a snarky irritated voice". Even the Judge pickup on it by pausing for a moment. I was 27 years old. Im now 44. I applied for ssdi about 2 years 3 or 4 months ago. Why would you open with that statment? No sir, you are miss representing me. You Mr. Blair are a rude person who is to accustomed to your life style and does not care about other’s, unless you can profit from the disabled, which I am! When you called me the night before the hearing you were saying in correct things about my case. I tried to correct your mistakes but you cut me off by saying “that’s like the 15th time you cut me off and the judge wont like that, again not an exact quote”. Fine that’s all you had to say but you said it in a rude voice like you had been drinkin power trip juice and took great offense to me, leaving me in a state of shock because you spoke to me like that and I was to afraid to say anything else other than yes sir, no sir. He then hung up on me after he was done speaking at me, like he was “droppin the mic after a speach”, like I had been served. Made me feal upset, confused, shocked and spiked my anixanty levels. I had a bout with insomnia because of you Mr. Blair, very unprofessional. Step down off your high horse and work on your people skills Mr. Blair, oh and maybe change your attitude a lil, remember those words you spoke at me before hanging up on me... To the rest of the staff, 4 star, your good people. Thankyou. You know what Mr. Blair, Thankyou for trying... "Get off your high horse" is an idiom telling someone to stop acting superior, arrogant, or self-righteous. It implies the person is behaving as if they are morally or intellectually better than others. It is a demand to become more humble, relatable, and less condescending.

Save your money. Use Chatcbt to file. You get absolutely nothing else for your money I can see. They have a great number of people working for them. Only problem is by the time you get all your records you get nothing for your efforts that chatcbt can't do faster and maybe better. Bottom line in my opinion is they have a lot of people making the disabled person do all the work.

Response from owner

Hi Julie,

We're sorry you left our conversation feeling frustrated. Sometimes, when we need to determine a case's viability, we must first review the potential client's medical records before we can decide whether to offer representation. We don't charge for that initial review of records. Still, I understand it can be inconvenient having to secure those records, and we certainly do not want to impose any undue burden on any potential client seeking representation.

If you'd like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to call me at 972.671.9922, ext. 119. We value your feedback and are committed to improving our communications with existing and potential clients alike.

-Christopher Coats

Christopher was not pleasant at all I think he's a very rude man. He's not compassionate. I hate I wasting my time with this law firm. The ladies in the office was very nice but Christopher did not work on my case he's not a compassionate person.

Response from owner

Ms. Perry:
Thank you for your feedback, although I'm a little confused by your review. When we spoke on November 6th, I explained that I didn't feel comfortable continuing representation, and you asked me to reconsider. In fact, you stated you were happy with me and my staff, and I apologized for the inconvenience but explained I would waive all fees so you could easily find a new representative who might be a better fit.

That was the last I heard from you until today's review, so I'm not sure if something changed since then. But whatever the case, I find a lot of misunderstandings can be resolved with a simple phone call. So please call me directly at (972) 671-9922, ext. 119. If I'm away from my desk (as often happens), just leave a brief voicemail, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!!!
-Chris

A Stellar Journey with Coates and Todd: Glynn Jackson, USN Where do I even begin? My experience with Coates and Todd has been nothing short of extraordinary! If there’s one thing I wish for every veteran, it’s the privilege of working with this law office. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that felt more like a warm family gathering than a typical law firm. Every single member of the Coates and Todd team made me feel like I was an integral part of their extended family. No matter the challenge or legal issue I faced, there was always a dedicated individual ready with a solution. I can't express enough how Miss Catherine lit up my journey—her kindness and dedication brought so much joy that it truly touched my heart. I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support I received, and it’s hard to find the words to encapsulate the level of excellence this firm embodies. Coates and Todd has set a standard that exceeded all my expectations. Their commitment to serving veterans is unparalleled, and their genuine care is evident in every interaction. To say that Coates and Todd is superb would be an understatement; calling them “pure excellence” feels like an absolute truth. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with such an outstanding group of individuals. Every veteran deserves the blessing of working with these phenomenal people who make magic happen every day. Thank you, Coates and Todd, for everything! You are, without a doubt, a beacon of hope and excellence in our community.

They are not willing to help you with getting benefits for someone that has issues of not able to work. Would not refer anyone to this group

Response from owner

I'm sorry we weren't able to take your case, but if you could provide some more details, I can look into this and potentially reconsider our decision. And if you're wary of sharing that kind of personal information online, feel free to call me directly at (972) 671-9922, ext. 119, and we can discuss this in a private setting while keeping your information confidential. If I'm away from my desk (as often happens), just leave me a voicemail and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Having said that, it could be that you don't meet the technical requirements, which have nothing to do with your medical condition. In fact, we get a lot of referrals from individuals who are unable to work, but they simply don't have enough current quarters of coverage or fully insured status, which renders them ineligible for SSDI. That might be the case here, but again, I can't really say without more info. So give me a call when you get a chance. If there's a way you might qualify, I'll certainly reconsider. And if not, I can provide some referrals if you want to get a second opinion. Just let me know. Thanks!!
-Christopher Coats

Coats &Todd, what a great attorney to have. They helped me to get my disability. It took two years. But they stuck in there with me. Updated me every step of the way. I received a phone call from Catherine Coats one weekend, what a awesome lady. She treated me like a person not just a client. She ask me about my family, how things where going, did I need anything. So yes it was more than just business. If I had to do this all over again, it would be Coats & Todd. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Coats & Todd, and Atticus for recommending them. 10/21/2025

Response from owner

Billy,
THANK YOU! I'm so glad we were able to help you out. I'll have to pass along your kind words to Catherine; but I know she and the rest of us here appreciate it! And let us know if you have any questions about your approval since SSA sent you a lot of information, which can get pretty confusing. Thanks again!!

It was my fist time applying for disability so I didn't know exactly what to do until I ran up on a ad. I clicked on it, I think it was "Atticus " a day or 2 later they turned me on to "Coats and Todd" to make it short. They are very helpful, friendly, professionals that helped me get my disability within a few months. I'm very thankful to them and I highly recommend anyone seeking help to contact "Coats and Todd" they are a "10" in my opinion...Thanks

Response from owner

Dana:
Wow, thank you!! I know this was approved relatively quickly (I emphasize the word "relatively," lol), but I appreciate your patience during the wait. I've had cases take several years to get approved, and this program is so strict that some cases wait years only to get denied. So I'm glad we were able to help you out. Thanks again, and take care!
-Christopher Coats
